Samsung vice president of product innovation Kevin Packingham said that the company plans for all its 2012 smartphones to include batteries that last an entire day with moderate to heavy use. "When you wake up to when you go to bed, we don't want you feeling anxiety about your battery life," he said in an interview with CNet. In order to accomplish this goal, Samsung will start by releasing devices that have bigger batteries. It will also explore how to better optimize select aspects of each device (e.g., LTE 4G wireless radios) to improve power efficiency. Packingham didn't provide specific details about future handsets.
