The 7-Eleven chain of convenience stores recently announced a major expansion of its Speak Out Wireless(SM) prepaid phone service. The service has been expanded from 14 markets to 38, and purchased minutes now do not expire for a full year. Also, three Nokia GSM phones have been added to the lineup, including a camera phone with FM radio and flashlight (the Nokia 3200). The company previously offered only TDMA models. The new GSM phones support SMS and Instant Messaging, and the company plans to offer additional data services in the near future. 7-Eleven is offering the service as an MVNO, in cooperation with Ztar mobile and Cingular Wireless.
