GetJar Coins Its Own, Virtual App Store Curreny
Feb 23, 2012, 8:02 AM by Eric M. Zeman
GetJar today announced an expansion of its GetJar Gold Program and introduced GetJar Gold, a new, virtual type of currency that can be used towards purchases in GetJar's app store. According to GetJar, the currency is backed by advertising and customers earn GetJar Gold when they download apps from GetJar, the Android Market, and the Amazon App Store, as well as engage it activities such as writing app reviews. The currency can be spent on premium apps or in-app purchases, and developers will be able to convert GetJar Gold virtual currency to real cash. GetJar Gold is meant to serve as a reward and loyalty program for return customers and developers.
