Nvidia Chooses '4-Plus-1' as New Name for 5-Core Chips

Nvidia today announced that it is changing how it refers to its Tegra 3 processor architecture. The Tegra 3 has four main cores that can be used to handle intensive computing tasks, but is joined by a fifth, low-power used for more menial tasks. Moving forward, Nvidia will refer to this architecture as 4-Plus-1.
