Kyocera Issues Battery Recall
Oct 29, 2004, 12:44 PM by (staff)
Kyocera yesterday issued a precautionary recall of certain batteries for its Slider, K400, and 3200 series phones. The batteries shipped with the phones, and certain aftermarket batteries bearing the Kyocera logo, may contain components not approved by Kyocera, fraudulently used by the battery supplier. There is no specific danger; Kyocera is issuing the proactive, voluntary recall as a precautionary measure. Kyocera is also working with the FBI to pursue legal remedies against the counterfeit battery supplier.
