Vibrate stopped working on 3120
Anyone have any idea as to why? This was my daughter's phone (and I have to be honest -- she is BRUTAL with phones) and the vibrate just stopped working, although it seems to otherwise work fine. Any idea why it would stop working? Can it be restored or am I out of luck? Thanks.

Restriction Code
...my old phone broke, so i went to the cingular store and they gave me an older phone.. that's been used. i tried to change it to another old phone i've had... both nokia- and it says that it needs a restriction code?? How can i get that????
The default restriction code is usually 12345.

My phone thinks it has the headset plugged in, but it doesn't. Will only operate on loudspeaker. Enhancement settings doesn't give option to turn off headset.
I had same problem after about 9 months of use. I believe it showed up after I started using the DKU-5 PC interface cable to sync to
Outlook Express on my PC, but no absolutely sure.
I think it is a software fluke, but working with the Nokia Tech...

Problem when sending with 3120
After typing my message, I click Options, then Send, then the Phone number box opens, but instead of it being an empty box which I could fill with the contact number that I want, a certain phone number already appears. How do I fix this? 🙂

Had my my Nokia 3100 for 2 years never had a problem a bit.
I drop my Nokia 3100 accidentally and until now its working perfectly good just like new.
Just like my previous Nokia 3210 it happened the same thing I dropped in the water accidentally but until now its working perfect.

I am with Cingular and wanted to get a nokia and I was just wondering which one should I get, the nokia 3120 or 6010? I am leaning more toward the nokia 3120.
I highly reccomend the 3120. It is smaller, has a better larger screen and the ringtones sound better on it than on the 6010. The 3120 even lets you voice record music to set as your ringer! Plus it is a better looking phone!

I'm not sure Paula, but here is a tip for finding out what version you have now. At the home screen, type in *#0000#

Memory Capacity
hey guys could i just know the total memory for this phone as i am a ringtone freak 😁 and i want to keep loads of tones in my phone.
Check online User Manual. I believe it mentions about 1Meg.

poor reception
I like several things about this phone, but I have had much poorer reception with it than with the nokia I had before. Yet lots of user reviews rave about the reception. Is mine just an abnormally bad phone or do others have this problem? Also, I found the battery much lower.
According to the Manual supplied with mine, it is important to hold the phone by its lower half, keeping hands and fingers away from the upper half were the RF Transmitter is located.

really depends on the market you are in. Im in Atlanta, GA. the phone with a 2 yr contract is $39.99. The actual cost of the phone is $126. So forty bucks is a good deal on the 3120.

Very unfortunately, no. It is too short and Nokia has chosen to save your battery instead of letting you make the trade-off between recharges and phone convenience.

Volume control 3120
Is there a facility to control the volume of the incoming voice on a call with the 3120 when used conventionally or with headset? It seems to have been forgotten!!
I have the same problem. Sometimes I can't hear a call due to background noise, but I cannot figure out how to turn up the volume! 👿
Volume control on the 3120 is the right > key to increase and left < to decrease. It must be done during a call in progress for some unknown Nokia logic. A graph will appear when you're setting it to show level.

Is there a way to remove Cingular's name from the main screen (what I'd call the phone's 'desktop')? It always annoys me how its over the top of my wallpaper images. Thanks.
I just started using the 3120 on Cingular Service in CA. I think if you set wallpaper to NONE in settings, Cingular logo will go away and be replaced with date, but maybe not with your state.

seam on body of phone
I just purchased a new 3120 from a cingular store and noticed there is a seam on the body of phone located on both sides of the phone about 3/4 to the top (when phone is sideways/slim view). Is that normal? I looked at 2 other 3120's in the store and they all seemed to have it but, some were more pronounced than others.

big problem, need help
hello everyone.
i have a nokia 3100 and somehow managed to destroy the screen. the phone still works, i just cant read anything on the display.
here is my question:
which keys do i have to press (from main menu) to copy all data from the adress book to the sim-chip?
