So is this a merger, a buy-out, a GSM Facilities agreement like Tmo/Cingular/ATT had, or is this just US Cellular giving up to become a virtual carrier. Either way, the thought of splitting assets and giving any of it to Verizon is just laughable. Wasn't Verizon the one who profited and benefit the most from the Alltel purchase, which was bigger than USCC at that time? Why should Verizon gain ANY EXTRA network power in the Midwest?
