Data Service

In the past 2 months I have had issues with my iphone 4S and getting data signal. I work in an area where my service is fine but haven't been getting data inside the building when I have in the past. Not to mention it drains my battery faster than an alcoholic can drink a beer. Does anyone else have this problem? ๐Ÿคจ

SYNC WITH GMAIL CONTACTS

Can this be done - how?
You can set a link with with your contacts on Google via setting up a MS Exchange service. If you point your computer (or Safari in a pinch) the instructions are laid out there to link the service.

It will replace any local contacts synced to your...

iphone 4S on Verizon Sync issue

Had an ipone4 and got the 4S recently. The first time I synced fine with computer and after that, it would not sync. Tech support had me restore phone and delete all Apple downloads and reinstall. Sync went fine. One week later, same problem. Has anyone else had same problem or know of a fix?

Gmail Integration

I have been an Android user for the past couple of years, and I use Gmail heavily. I love how the contact list and calendar are sync'd between Gmail and my phone and updates to either one update the other immediately. I'm considering switching to the iPhone, and I'm wondering if it's possible for Gmail, calendar, and contacts to integrate the same way?

Also, how is the email on the iPhone? I heard all your email accounts have to be in one inbox - is this true? I like to keep my personal and work email in separate apps.
Bump?

Is the iPhone 4S 4G capable?

I had heard that there were no iPhones that support LTE (or WIMAX ๐Ÿคจ ) but on the AT&T wireless site is shows the iPhone 4S categorized as a 4G device. Is this true?
ATT is slowly pushing out LTE, but the iPhone 4 is not LTE capable. They are using HSPA which is very fast and they tout as 4G speeds. So industry wide LTE is officially considered 4G with HSPA being a stop gap until they roll out LTE everywhere. T...

iPhone 4S: AT&T or Verizon?

Hello everyone!

I currently have a iPhone 3G (I know!). I'm thinking about finally upgrading next month. I'm deciding between staying with AT&T or switching over to Verizon. I live in the New England area, and travel to Southern California a lot. I want to ask current 4S owners of both carriers what they think of their phones, in regards to data speeds, dropped calls, etc. I heard/read conflicting stories about the differences of 3G speeds between AT&T and Verizon, and I just want to hear from the real world.

Thanks for your help :-)
Personally I have an iPhone 4s on AT&T and I am getting around 5-6 mbps down and around 2 mbps up, I reside in Long Island so I can only speak for what I have experienced, but I know for a fact Verizon's coverage is never that fast anywhere on 3G.

I updated mine didn't help make sure you have 5.0.1 loaded.Apple is working on the fix best thing you can do is do not plug the phone in until it is under 20% and let it charge to 100% uninterrupted to get the best battery life and close all your runn...

Issues with syncing with Outlook

All,

I'm having an issue with syncing with Outlook. Specifically, my calendar is not syncing up properly. The contacts sync up just fine.

I have completed many tasks to try and resolve the issue:
1) Uninstalled all itunes components, and reinstalled itunes.
2) Reset sync history
3) Hard boot the phone (press power and home buttons
4) Tried syncing with another computer, same issue (and error messages) occurs.

I've even tried using a different cord. By the way, the error message that comes up states, itunes was unable to sync with the iphone because it was disconnected. I'm not touching the phone, it has always been connected, but the calendar items aren't there. Has anyone else experienced issues with syncing on a PC?

Siri, should I use an umbrella today?

"I can't let you do that, Dave."
Well it feels like the proverbial "piss on my head and call it rain" effect.
Going to need a very good umbrella for that.

sooo what!

so basically the company that is sue happy completely stole the notification system from android, and then released a phone thats still 6 months behind a lot of high end android devices... way to go crapple!!

the screen is still to small and they just basically played catch up to several devices already on the market so nothing new and really worth while here i will stick with a android device thats bigger faster and way better...in my own opinion
Of all the smartphones made, I can't stand android! Battery life sucks, and all you really have is a lot of games to play. Whoopeee!!!

Yellow screens, battery problems, Siri issues, oh my!

I find it interesting that there isn't more of an uproar on the internet or in the news. There have been screen issues, battery shortages, and now this whole thing with Siri. Does anybody else get the feeling like Apple wasn't really ready to push out a new phone, but felt pressured to release a new product just to handle the masses? It also seems like it's just a weak attempt to catch up with what every other company has been doing with Android. Sure, the 4S has great features and stuff, but it'd be really nice if it all "just worked", like Apple claims it should.

Here's the thing: Problems like this HAPPEN. Every technology company, every electronic developer, every single one of them will have problems and issues. It just happens. That...

I can't help but notice

That there isn't 1/10 the level of outrage or coverage in the tech media over this as there was over the most recent RIM outage, nor is there much outrage over the fact that the alleged 'killer feature' of the iPhone 4S has experienced frequent problems since its debut...

One might think that there is a double standard in the tech media when it comes to Apple products or something..... ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
SHHHH!!!!! dont let bluecoyote hear you say that ๐Ÿคฃ
The main difference is the BlackBerry servers going down completely killed everything for them: emails, texts, etc.

This just affects Siri, you can still use everything else on the phone.
