unlocking?

Does anyone know if unlocking this phone is possible? I've looked around and I have seen none that are factory-unlocked...nor have I seen any unlocking kit.

Thanx! 🙂
blkngld
Yes it is possible. Mine is unlocked. I just called up T-Mobile and had them send me the unlock code.
Just out of curiousity, why would one want to unlock a phone? (Sorry, if you read any of my previous posts, you'll know I don't have a clue about these things!)
You can do it(sharp TM-150)..
Logon to the websitesuperunlockcodes.com/ and choose your mobile model, name country code, network provider etc..You will be able to get your unlock code with the very low cos...

usb cable download link doesnt work. Please help.

Hi

I'm having some problems getting the drivers for the usb cable for this tm 150 phone. The link on this forum doesn't work anymore
http://212.103.248.44/sharp-mobile/tm150/downloads/d ... »

I looked on the Sharp site for the handset manager and couldn't find it there either.
Is there another site that has the drivers for this phone? Is there any way I can get the drivers without buying the software? Thanks, John

Video playback limitations?

Does anyone know if there's a file-size limitation for video playback? I used Nokia's 3GP video converter to encode some movie trailers into 3GP format so that I could view them on my phone, but the file size ended up being somewhere around 800KB and wouldn't play on the phone itself.

After a month, my review, camera great, software not

Camera is great, that's it. How do you get the annoying ring tones from goin off on every pic? I'm going to unscrew this to take out the speaker, which it has no speakerphone anyways! Why! I notice alot of people asking this, why? I can get 600 858x1144 pics with a 128mb card, which is nice. Get a card reader if you want to move pics. The cable is pointless with the software except for doing the address book. You could hold an hour of video, but it only lets you do 10 secs at a time! WHY? With the 128 mb card in it still won't let you use your ring tones unless they are shrunk down to like 50kb, WHY? With the hardware on this phone, it's the software that is killing it. Is there anyone with a recommendation to find programs for this? Help me...

The software limitations are a serious drawback, I agree. I converted a number of wav files over to SMAF, but you're limited to about 50KB in file size for ringtones in that format. This makes very little sense, as I can load a 100+KB MIDI file as a ...

With WindowsXP, once you insert your SD card into your card reader, you should be able to see a list of folders. Open the folder named "Videos" and copy the files contained therein. They should all have the .3GP file extension. These files can be v...

picture problems PLEASE HELP!

hello all, I just got this phone and im having a VERY hard time tracking down pictures; after I take them, the only way i can access them is by either setting them as a background for my phone and setting them for a call ID picture, but no other way! How can i actually access my pictures without going through all that, to a point where i can rename them and have the option of deleting some that are wasting space? Please let me know ASAP! Thank you!
Ok, press the green little circle button in the middle of the directional pad to go to the menu on the TM 150. Press the green button again to select "My Contents," which should already be highlighted. Select "Pictures," and scroll down and select "M...

how to load games

Hi,

I just got the the Sharp TM 150. So far very happy. The only thing that sucks, is the fact that it has no games. I have not taken access to the internet on my service plan. I have seen on this forum where you guys have stated that games can be downloaded directly to the phone. Is there anyway to load games either through the memory card or the USB cable?
Thanks,
Hari
the phone doesn't support games - dont know about downloading with a usb cable or anything.. but you can sign up for t-zones and access those games on this phone.
...
T-Zones doesn't have any games supported for the TM 150, last I checked. The only way you can get games on it is if you get Java games from some websites.

Sending email/text msg

Does anyone know how to configure this phone in order to send text messages to an email address? Is it in email config. or somewhere else? I have TMobile but don't want to sign up for TZones. This should be possible...
you dont need tzones to send a text to an email address, you just need to go to messages > e-mail > create message

from there you should be able to type in the email address and then the message then send. you do need the @ symbol for it to work.

Well, this is cruel.

Great phone with great features and a great price (free on the website for the next couple weeks)...

But damn if this isn't the girliest-looking phone I've ever seen (barring a great many Nokias).

Call me insecure, but I can't see myself toting one of these around myself.
Hmmm... not insecure, but perhaps shallow? 🙂
e-bay does sell some replacement faceplates pretty cheap. Not attractive ones, but not terribly girly either. I've seen about 3-4 different ones there.
Not that girly is a problem for, for example, girls...

dammit. I got this in addition to my abundant array of tmobile phones. And I have never looked at it that way... Thanks

MP3S OR WAVS???

does anyone know if this phone plays mp3s or wav files, I know of many free wav sites and was wondering this before I consider getting the phone...Thanks in advance...
I don't know about the phone, but it's irrelevant, because there are tons of free wav -> mp3 converters out there, so even if it doesn't support wavs, you can just make it an mp3 and make it work that way.

Check download.com for a bunch of freeware...

questions

I am currently a t-mobile customer and I am very happy with their service. I currently have a samsung e105. i am pleased with it but i feel it is time to upgrade. I was first looking at the sidekick but I don't feel like spending 20 bucks extra a month for the unlimited plan ...... anyway I was looking at the sharp tm150 and looks very nice. I have a few questions about it tho:

do you feel that it is one of the best t-moblie phones out?

do you see any problems with it?

and i know that this has been stated before but pleese can i have a full tutorial of putting ringtones onto the phone.and what format these ringers have to be in and I have widows media player.

pleese help me out with this
I will greatly appriciate it. 😁
The sharp is a great phone!! The screen/camera quality is amazing!! Better than any other T-mobile phone. The only thing I don't like is the ring tones are really quiet! Especally compaired to the e105...At least it will ring and vibrate at the same ...

I was wondering on the tm150 can you record a song from speakers as a voice memo and than use it as ringtone. If so how os the sound quality?

pleese help me out!

Not that i'm aware of. The ring tones need to be in mmf format so I don't think it will work. ☚ī¸

QUESTIONS!!!!!!

i was wondering if this phone's ringtones are any good.. also DOES IT HAVE A MELODY COMPOSER?
and does this phone have the option of vibrating AND ringer AT THE SAME TIME?
The ringtones are average at best, but it is easy to add new ones via the memory card.

No melody composer

Yes you can have it ring and vibrate at the same time. You can even have it vibrate to the beat of the ringer.
