Car Profile

I just brought this phone about a week ago and have not had a lot of time to play with it. But the problem i am having is that every time i plug the phone into the wall charger or the usb cable the phone jumps to "car profile." in this profile it will not ring. What really makes me mad is it wont let me activesync bc it goes to car profile. Can anyone please help!

Limited Internet

I have owned my MPx220 for years and it is the best phone I have had and it still is better than 99% of the phones available today except for one problem that I hope someone can help me solve. My phone was purchase as an Unlocked phone from Germany (I think) and shipped to the USA. I can get on the Internet as retrieve some very limited information but 90% of the sites I try to see are unavailable to the phone. The phone is on AT&T's network. Does anyone have any suggestions that would broaden my Internet capabilities on this phone?

I just got my MPx220!

It's durable, not way bulky. Calls soung great. The camera/video are okay; not the best, nor the worst {It's not as good as my 3125, but I like that I can zoom multiple times.}. A full review shall be posted shortly.

What phone did you get after your MPx220?

đŸ¤Ŗ Just checked last week. Now I am eligible to get a new phone at a discounted price or change provider without cancellation fee. 😁 The Mpx220 has proven itself to be an oxymoron, a sort of realy cool POS. Any former Mpx220 owners find a replacement phone you liked (doesn't matter what service it's on)?
I'm still using it on my main line, and am waiting for a 2125 on my second line. In due time, I shall buy an 8525.
MPX220 -> 6682 -> E61 -> ??? (E61i maybe)
I currently have the Motorola ic902 phone through Sprint/Nextel So far this phone is very nice. I loved the Mpx220 when it was new, but that changed over time. I will have to give this phone a little time to see how I like it. I still have my Mpx22...

mp3 ringtones

For those who choose to use this feature, what is the best way to go about it? The manual says that the mp3s should be saved under storage/application data/sounds...That doesn't leave much space for mp3s. I've got 256 MB SDmini card in, and would rather save the mp3s I use for ringtones on the card. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.
hell, i can't even get the ones that are on the phone to work correctly. the phone keeps teling me that the ringtones are not correct format and will not work correctly. i'm not sure if anything will work as it should. i give up on this phone.
I've found that the MPX220 will pull the main ringtone from the Storage card. I did find that per user/rings don't seem to see the storage card .mp3 files. I did find that many of my MP3's were not "in the correct format", this is a codec issue, so I ...

Mp3 songs as message bip or alarm?

Hey guys

I was wondering if the mpx220 is able to play mp3's as an alarm og message tone? I know all the standard tones are midi files, but still?
I'll let ya know next week when I get it back.
From my experience, it has worked, but it seems to cause Error messages and malfunctions. I had more success with recording a short wav file that is formatted the same as one of the ringtones that came on the phone. For instance, open the barking ring...

can't take pictures

😡 Everytime I try to take a picture I either get a green screen, grayish screen, or a black screen. Most of the times it says I can't take a picture. When I do it comes out green. The picture settings are set as 1280x960 and set to automatic for light settings. Any soultions to fix this?

Thanks

Question about the MPx220

I'm quite interested about this Smartphone, as the 6682 is trying my patience. I found a website that sells this phone. Should I go for it, or go after one of the more modern ones??
My personal opinion, there are probably better phones available. I thought it was going to be an awesome phone when I got it, but unfortunately I have experienced many problems with it. Many of the features of the phone that make it seem nice are n...

Can't Change Sound Profile

...done this a million times. Set the phone to "meeting" at work, only now it won't switch back. I've tried multiple times, removed and replaced the battery...nothing. It refuses to budge off "meeting". When I try to access sounds through settings, I get an error message. I like to carry the 220 once in a while, but I need to hear it ring.
Just curious, what does the error message say?

..also, a couple of other things you can try,

1. press and hold the power button just long enough to bring up the Quick List. Try to select a different profile from there. OR
2. scroll down to y...

Text Messages Not Appearing...HELP!

☚ī¸

Well, I Have Had My Mpx220 For Maybe Months Now. All Has Worked Well Until A Few Days Ago. I Was Replying To A Text Message And IT Wouldn't Do Anything When I Hit Send. So I Canceled It Then Deleted My Inbox And Sent Items Then It Would Allow Me To Send Messages Again. But Now, After Receiving Just 1 Text Message, If I Get Another One And Try To Open It It Just Displays A Blank White Screen.

Does ANYONE Know How To Fix This Or Have ANY Suggestions....Thanks To All Who Can Help
I am just guessing, try turning your phone off completely and then turning it back on again. That might help if it has something to do with memory. Good luck.
I would like to see a reply to this. I have had 4 of these phones. I bought my first 1 from Best Buy 2 years ago & had problems the first week. The idiots there were no help. I got Cingular to replace it. Both of those phones had volume issues. The th...

help...flight mode...

i was hoping someone here could help me out. I gave my mom my mpx220 when i upgraded to a new phone. she has somehow put it in "flight mode" (displayed at the top of the home screen). Can someone tell me how to turn it off? She's not close by where I can dig through the menu's to figure it out myself and she's not very apt when it comes to cell phones.

much appreciated...
If you haven't figured it out by now, here's how,
Press the power button for about 1 second, but not long enough to turn the phone off.
Chose "Flight Mode Off" from the list that comes up.

software problems

I'm so frustrated...my phone has been powering down when I try to boot it up...so I bought a new battery (charged for 12 hours) and the same thing happens...I do a "hard reset" and now at least my phone boots up to the main menu screen but I get a "no service" message and when I try to go to other screens it bumps me back to the main default screen...its' almost like I have some sort of virus or something.

Anyone else have this problem?...anyone know how I can reinstall the software? or something else I can try short of sending it to a repair center?
I kind of remember something like this. If you search the whole mpx220 forum you will find something about no service after the phone firmware upgrade. If you power it off and on again, you will get service back, if I remember correctly.
