WoW, the Evo really is taking off!!!! A lot of people that are buying the Evo are coming over from other networks!
I read this in the forums over @ BGR:
"In line at West Hollywood Sprint store…88 people in line. Bye bye Verizon!"
...
It will be 1005 better. Take that evo. BTW as with all sprint phone it will have major problems for MONTHS.
...
Do you mean the new Sprint iPhone? We've been assured that it is coming.
...
Sprint gets the OLD 1st Gen Iphone. I bet they are all refurbished models from Apple insurance. 🤣
...
Are you saying they had some that didn't work right? I didn't think that was possible.
...
I personally nvr buy a phone when it 1st comes out. There will always be issues. Look athte Pre it had updates the day it came out to tyr and fix its issues. Hell lok at the whole Rumor line its a steaming pile.
...
But those are phones made for Sprint, which you've already established are of inferior quality to begin with.
The same thing couldn't happen with your sacred iPhone, which was manufactured to the far superior standards of (I bow down as I type the letters) ....... AT&T!
...
becasue that was weak my little one. But it is a talent you will pick up.
...
no sarcasm pure truth there is on that post.
...
Even with your inability to write or type properly in the English language it is still easy to find amusement in your previous failure in understanding sarcasm.
...
Sadly, it would appear that he believes every insane word he types. A person's ability to self delude is always tragic.
...
Very much so. But hey it is worth the laugh watching it.
...
You are taking "dripping sarcasm" to a whole 'nother level friend.
...
The rep was just letting every hater know that the Evo is a success. 😁 By the way the 4G I-phone had to change the name to 4os bacause its not a 4G network phone. Nice try Apple. All of you Sprint haters can continue to drop calls, miss E-mails, and pay more for what you can't harldy use. I am just a messenger. Stop hating this rep for getting excited and letting everyone know how successful his store was is doing because of a superior device. Of course this phone is not for everyone. Some people just want to perpetrate. You know pretend like they are actually browsing when really they are just sitting there waiting for the page to load. The good news is you can take the I-phone or any other phone from any network and tether on 4G EVO. My ...

i agree jay i work at a retail store and there like 400 people in my line...looks like back fri again i love it to bad i belive we only got like 200 evos in...
...
Hmm, perhaps Sprint under estimated the Evo's awesomeness!!! Hopefully HTC will be able to keep up with the demand!!!
WoW, 400 people in line, WoW!!!!!!
Where is your store located?
...
😳 Jesus how much coffee have you been drinking?
...
Umm. . .what the heck does coffee have to do with anything? I don't drink coffee, it's way, way too hot!!!!!
Btw, Rich did an interesting article comparing Tmo's HSPA+ to Sprint's Wimax, you should check it out, it's a really extensive, interesting read, Tmo's upload speeds are quite impressive! It's on Phone Scoops homepage.
...
I already read it Sprint's 4G is not really 4G which I already knew and it decent but pretty much blows compared to T-Mobile which I already knew too.
...
Is... well... T-Mobile.
Smaller coverage area. Lack of roaming on AT&T in a *LOT* of places (regional agreements, not nationwide).
T-Mobile FlexPay was the *WORST* thing to deal with.
(glad my place kicked em to the curb in lieu of VZW).
The first rev of new gen 'stuff' normally lags behind the lats gen of old gen 'stuff'.
The crux of the situation is that WiMax/LTE is destined to go higher... Look at WiMax2... LTE2...
while CDMA/GSM is pretty much hitting the ceiling (and raising it in spots) of where it can/will go.
...
The article is just based on todays tech, not old arguments of coverage, or predictive astrology for knowing the future. Both deserve props.
...
Yeah well, I would still go with Clear, becase they don't screw people over with some measly 5GB data cap. Speed is useless if it can't be used for multimedia/video, which happens to be data intensive and would eat away 5GB's in less than a week. When I had Clear, I used 30-35GB's/mo.
...
I didn't. I fell in love with it way before it was released. I feel so sad that I can never own it.
...
jay my store is located in kansas city where we just launched 4g and had a huge add running yesterday till da end of the week so everyone wants it i guess
...
So everybodies following each other to the Sprint store, huh? How many do you guys have in stock?
Spec wise I think the Evo is awesome, but in my opinion 4.3in screen is too big for a cellphone.
...
we only got like 200 last week but my manager jus told me that we were sent 300 more and will have them like wed so we are gining rain checks for those who waited in line all day not to get one
...
So are you taking customers ph#'s? And letting them put $ down?
So let me get this straght, 200 now, and 300 *more* on the way?
...
ya we are giving them cards when they pay for the device that said they paid and it has been signed by our manager to insure no fake ones come in but yes we would have got a total of 500 in a week and expected to sell about 400 by sat
...
!!!!!!!!!!WWWWOOOOWWWW!!!!!!!! 400 Evo's in one week!!!!!!
Maybe 500,000 nationally? Do you think? I'm talking about by the end of June.
How many of the 200 Evo's you sold just today were new Sprint customers?
...
well so far we have had like roughly 75 or 80 new one so far but we expect more cause we are going to run a special to start buying contract ETF form other carriers at my store up to like 150 dollars a line so we will see plus the sprint free thing is helping too
...
Wow, it'll be interesting when the next qtr results from out.
So are you telling the customers about the wifi tethering feature, and video calling feature?
...
ya those who want the phone get a little packet that my store owner created that explains everytrhing the phone can do and stuff but we do tell them everything they need to knw about the phone
...
So do you think Sprint will sell as many as 500,000 by the end of the month?
...
i say we can get pretty close from the projections of our week here in one store
...
