I am writing this question for my cousin who doesnt have access to a PC right now...He just switched to this phone from the Katana and lost his contacts....The tech at the store where he went to said his battery from the old was too dead to even plug in and get his contacts...Is there any other way for him to get these?

If he can get any kind of charge on the phone and get it to power on yes. That is the key. There is software you can buy online or at BestBuy that allows you to copy those to your computer. Or if you can get it to turn on you can bluetooth the contacts as well.
Or if you can get a charge on it take it back to the tech center and they should be able to swap those over to the device. Just as long as he can get the device to power on he should be good to go. 🙂
