Epic or Evo?
I'm stuck between the two. I've never had a full touch screen phone hence why the Epic pulls me more but I need some real insight on owners of these phones. The Evo is $50 cheaper with my upgrade but I don't want that to be the sole deciding factor in my decision. Any insight would be appreciated!

Both are good phones. I have had the options to own both. And I prefer the Epic over the EVO. First reason is HTC Sense is horrible and laggy, not to mention glitchy. The dialer on the EVO is crap. Now Touch Wiz is not the best but much better than Sense IMO. Now the screen on the Epic is just that " Epic" The colors are so vivid. The EVO is just blah. So if I had to recommend one the say the EPIC for only a few reasons.

Have you actually used an EVO?? Maybe you've used Sense on some crappy slow phone like the hero, but Sense on the EVO is anything but slow!! And I personally would take Sense over Touch Wiz anyday..the HTC widgets are SO much more useful, and there are more to choose from.
I would say if you want a slightly more vivid screen and physical keyboard get the EPIC.
If you take a lot of pictures, the EVO has a better camera. The screen is physically bigger which I like. And I personally feel like the EVO is a little more customizable with the HTC widgets.
Both great phones though.

The epic screen isnt SLIGHTLY better.. its WORLDS better. As in not even in the same BALLPARK better.
And the EVO has a higher MP camera, but so far I MUCH prefer the Epics actual camera interface. Many more options for shooting styles, anti shake, panorama pics, ISO settings, Smile detection, etc. etc.

yeah i gotta say i really was dissapointed in the camera for the evo. maybe its just mine but it really wasnt impressive.

I owned the EVO, and even rooted it. And Sense was still crap. The EVO is a nice phone. But honestly it comes down to preference. And I prefer the EPIC. It offers a better overall appeal IMO. The Screen is world better on the Epic. Look over the Specs. Colors: 16.7 million (24-bit) on the Epic and Colors: 65,536 (16-bit. Now I am not a mathematician but that is a huge difference. So I will stick with my Epic.

I prefer the EVO and teh Sense interface with widgets, I cant handle the Samsung interface or their devices....lol
Although the screen is plus, it comes out in games anad live wallpapers the difference super amolled makes. Its not that important to me, I am more about interface and widgets than a little better screen

Epic. I sell the two phones, I've used them side-by-side, and I can assure you that the Epic is the superior phone. Better screen, keyboard (personal preference, but it makes texting much easier) and wireless DLNA hookup, better battery life, better software overlay (TouchWiz over Sense)...

It's official! I ordered my Epic today and it should arrive by Friday the latest! I also ordered the Seidio Innocase as it is the best case out for the Epic as of now. I wish Otterbox or Casemate had some out though.
