I signed up on the site. You don't have to be a student. The deal isn't through wirefly or lets talk either, it's through Studentrate.I just filled out the form on their site for more info so we'll see what they have to say.

FYI I took a look at this link today. It looks like there is no $100 mail-in rebate anymore, as it is instant, and the rebate is $30.

Just saw the same site, studentrate, is taking pre-orders for Evo 3D and Nexus S and offering pretty much the same deal, 15% off bill, $50 service credit, $35 rebate, free shipping, waived activation fees. People who are pre-ordering upgrades get the same thing minus the $50 credit.

I submitted a form to get that discount on the Nexus S. Someone called me that day to answer my questions and sent me a link to order my phone. I ported my # from Verizon and so I got the $125 also.
