Account Question ?????

I purchased the sprint overdrive pro from best buy mobile on April 22. I used the device a couple of times, and decided I didn't want it. I returned it on May 7th, they refunded me my money and everything was all set. A week ago Some debt collectors called asking why I haven't paid my sprint bill, I told them I had no clue what they were talking about. They tried to say I owed like 300 something dollars, they claimed I did not cancel with in 30 days. They say the account was canceled on the 25th of May, but best buy has the records showing that I canceled with in two weeks. I've talked to about 10 different sprint customer service people, who don't know what the hell they are doing. Best buy has even talked to sprint, but all they said was ...

It actually seems that Best Buy didnt report your account canceled until may 25th..... So its really not Sprints fault, they can only go by what the 3rd party reported. Best Buy needs to get in contact with NSS and have it resolved or escalated if you actually returned it on may 7th.

Correct, and also the reason to go direct to the carrier regardless of who you choose to do business with.

That said, I setup with Wimax a few months ago and am happy to report that things are great. I love reliably getting 3Mbps while on the road. Go on that thing during off hours and I get 5 or 6Mbps down.

from when i worked at sprint i believe that once your account goes into collection reps could only give you the phone number to the collection agency your debt was given to. unfortunately you wont get much help them.
