LTE getting better where you are?
I just travelled from TN to FL last week. LTE was great everywhere. Slowest speed down I saw was 9.52mbps and fastest 23mbps. I average 16-20. I tested using G2 in the following locales.
Asheville, NC
Columbia SC
Savannah GA
Jacksonville FL
now I had LTE for about 80% of the trip. Parts of SC and mountains in NC didnt have LTE. I had 1 dropped call in the appalachian mountains. I was 9 miles off the shore in Jacksonville pulling 9mbps LTE. I ran tests between the locales and did 10+ mbps. Middle of nowhere SC rest stop was 20mbps......all locations were along I95 and I26 or within 20 miles of the interstate.

Not a single drop of LTE in our area of northern Los Angeles County 😳 Nor did we detect any Sprint 4G in Ventura, Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo counties a month or so ago. 😲 SUre glad we got that unlimited data plan ðŸ¤

I am sure they are working on it, the project is slated to be completed on the 1.9GHZ LTE by late summer (all towers in network) this year then the 800MHZ upgrade starts....but those are not as involved as network vision now

I hope so...I received a text message from Sprint last week that they will be improving the network in our area in the coming month, so I'm really hoping we get a decent set of upgrades to the spotty & anemic CDMA 3G here, and maybe even some 4G LTE (although Direct Connect STILL does not work on 4G, so those of us that use SDC have to lock our phones into CDMA-Only mode :-(.
It's frustrating that Sprint keeps jumping into new things all the time, before they ever fin...

No, we have excellent coverage by VZ, slightly less by AT&T, then T-Mo and Sprint are roughly tied for last. Both S & T have noticeably poorer coverage than the two biggies, and as I've said before, Sprint's data speeds are very poor here (no LTE at all, and 3G ekes out 0.5 Mbps on a good day, more typically it runs 0.2 Mbps).
When they shuttered iDEN, we stuck with Sprint for the SDC PTT, which so far no other carrier can match and no apps that we've tried are even close. It's not quite as good as Nextel/iDEN were, but SDC is still better than any other PTT available in CA.

LOL ADHD is exactly what comes to mind when I think about their projects and new network upgrades, etc. I feel like they have some new initiative every week.
Sprint's LTE has been pretty solid for me in my area. Even in very rural areas I can consistently see 15-20mbps down on Sprint LTE. My work phone is now on AT&T, and I only get LTE in the major cities, no outlying areas yet. Reading all the announcements from Sprint and seeing firsthand, they will upgrade towers to LTE in the small towns and rural areas first, then roll it out to big cities. Not sure why they did it this way, but now that the large cities finally got LTE a year after the small towns in WI, I now have LTE coverage everywhere. Compared to my AT&T phone being stuck on H...

Does it really take that much work to change what frequency LTE runs on?
T-Mobile is in the process of upgrading the spectrum to 20x20 LTE, Wideband LTE,. . .so I am curious how complicated it is just changing the spectrum.

some has already....but I want to say thats in the back phase of NW. to Sprints benefit the Tmobile deal is now more of a softbank purchase and them squeezing the 2 companies together.....and softbank has a history of doing this very well in japan. Also spark has actually been in the works for a long time, not something new they just thought of.......I am assuming they put it out to test it more than anything, it may be the ultimate goal. The president of softbank stated even verizon service, network, and LTE are sub standard compated to japan and korea. I hope he is taking us that direction.
