Fraudulent sprint acct. on credit report
Has anyone else had sprint report an account to the credit bureaus but never had an account with Sprint? It says 11 Sprint...and ERC...and it's for over a thousand dollars reported 07/17. I disputed it with the credit karma thing...but I think that might just be a useless tool because less than a week later it came back and said its my account. I can assure you it is NOT my account. I am not sure what my next step is....ERC says talk to Sprint....Sprint says talk to them. Do I send a request to validate to both? They can't validate I realize...so then what do I do...is there a time frame they have to respond? Im really upset because I have been working so hard to bring my score up...and I did have legitimate dings on my r...

Try calling the Sprint Fraud department, at (88😎 788-0788 they close at 5:00 EST I think. One of the options is disputing a credit ding. Once you talk to them I think they'll make you sign an affidavit and will help you from there.

I would go directly to your credit report bureau and file a dispute. They have a department that will investigate this. You should get a copy of all 3 credit reports to make sure this isn't showing up (or any other suspicious activity). You can get a free one every year.
