SDC prioritization (interrupt level)
What we have noticed is that any time our Kyocera Torques went to standby mode without first pressing the Home button, PTT calls can't reliably get through. If the last thing one of us did was read a text message, then set the phone aside and let it go to standby mode with the text application still "open", even when both phones have decent 3G signal, we consistently get the "user unavailable" #310 or #320 error messages, and PTT refuses...

Warning to all Sprint mobile users: mysterious phone calls from 865-6696 may install NSA surveillance code on your iPhone
Can anyone confirm this? Have you or anyone you know received such calls?
Frustrated with Sprint in Montclair
When I'm out of my wifi home & try to connect to Google Maps, Shazam, or any other app, I get the message "Could not activate cellular data network"
Upon my most recent trip to the Sprint Store this afternoon I finally found out they are upgrading towers & the work is expected to continue until 2014!
I am on a family plan, 6 mos. into a 2 yr contract... I have few options, thus this post.
Is anyone else out there in the greater Montclair area having similar problems? Perhaps we can have an impact together.
spring service sucks in NJ?
ATT is killing with this package data crap!
do they suck in central jersey???
anyone??
Multiple networks
The irony is how, just a few months, ago people were constantly proclaiming that it was just not economical to field two networks of fundamentally different technologies, and for that reason alone Nextel should be shut down as quickly as possible. Yet now that Sprint again has two networks (CDMA + LTE, or three if you want to include WiMax), no one is saying it's a bad idea to have multiple network technologies. Similarly, not a soul complains...

Sprint Breaks GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® Record
This week GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS recognized Sprint for shattering the record for the number of cellular phones recycled in one week: 103,582 cellular phones, more than double the previous record.
“We are committed to keeping old cell phones out of landfills and are so pleased that our customers supported us during this record-setting week, as they regularly do throughout the year,” said Jaime Jones, senior vice president of consumer sales at Sprint.
Through its standard phone take back programs including Sprint Buyback a...

Boise ID needing to switch from VZW
Like a lot of people I find myself in a situation where I need a new phone but do not want to give up my unlimited data or pay full retail. Anyway, I have heard pretty good things about Sprint in this area and was hoping I could get some feedback.
Is the data truly unlimited or is it throttled? Any other unadvertised restrictions?
Realistically what am I looking at for a monthly cost? SMS and data are what I primarily use the device for I use almost no voice minutes.
HTC One vs. Galaxy S4 -- Please Advise
I currently have an HTC EVO Design 4G. I have had it for two years and am ready to upgrade. I am considering the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4. They are the same price.
I use my phone for texts, email, web (mainly checking the news and Google searches), photos, calls, and calendar (pretty much in that order). I occasionally watch videos on Youtube.
I loved my current phone because it was a fairly easy transition for me to a smartphone. Not too big, not too bulky, and easy to learn.
I would really like opinions on which phone would be the best for me given what I use it for. Thanks in advance!!!

Prip (new PTT app from NII + Motorola)
http://prip.me/blog/2013/07/15/the-road-to-prip/ »
I pasted the link to the Prip "introduction" page above because it gives some background on why Prip came about and who is involved (NII & Motorola). Interestingly, Prip was apparently born in Reston, VA (the former Nextel corporate HQ).
I'm looking for real-world feedback, because our Sprint Direct Connect service works so poorly where we live. The Airave Sprint gave us actually turns DC off, so we had to turn off the Airave, and Prip claims they can use any data connection with any carrier (3G, 4G or WiFi).
If Prip works as advertised, it might be a decent alternative for the many people who have had poor results with Sprint Di...
