Wow, not too bad. Looks like they also have the 1500 minute plan with same features for $49.95.
Originally my thoughts were to get this instead of the local plans, but there are a few differences. ShareTalk is $20, for those who care (while the base plan is five bucks cheaper). Also, it isn't clear if the plan will be half off for three months. Mobile-To-Mobile not included. Overall it does seem like a darn good deal, especially if the half-off promo applies.

No, it is not half off for any amount of time. C'mon, look at the deal you're getting though lol. Thats a lot to get for only $39.95. Same with the 1500 minute plan. No company in chicago can compete with that right now. They should carry it past december.

I called the local USCC store in Janesville WI complaining that we can't have this plan. They looked it up and couldn't believe it either. They said not to ever expect this plan outside of Chicago never, or even longer. I called CS and fed them the same line of crap I did the retail store and they basically told me not to hold my breath. Maybe we should try to get as many customers as possible in the Central and Midwest Region to flood CS with calls?

While it doesn't hurt to try, I think USCC has the winning hand in this game. They created this plan here because this is the most competitive market. This will help both retain old and attract new customers (on a sidenote, I'd say they did the math and figured that the majority of people will not overtax their roaming capacity). In a market where it isn't as competitive - tough luck! What are ya gonna do, go to a more costly carrier? Ha! I'm being sarcastic, but this is the likely outcome.

I know they have the upper hand, and I also know that we will never see a plan like that outside of Chicago. I just thought that if they knew how the majority of their customers would like a plan like that, they would maybe take a second look. I have USCC because I have no other choice where I live. If brand V or brand C would work for me, I would be gone in a heartbeat for a national plan.

A Chicagoland number and a Chicagoland address. Must physically live in and have a mailing address in one of those zip codes to be eligable for those rate plans. I already checked on it.

I live on the border of WI/IL...I can sell a chicago plan to a WI customer...they're just going to get a chicago number. Well, that's what my AAE said.
