How is their new CDMA system
Who out there has used the new CDMA system. Is it better than their older TDMA system in terms of quality?

😁 Well, I recently switched from a USCC TDMA phone to a CDMA phone. The reception in Wichita Falls, TX is so much better. I can't vouch for anywhere else. I used to sit in my office downtown and get no signal with my TDMA nokia 5165. Now I have a Nokia 3586i, and get 4-5 bars in the same spot. And driving all over town, the coverage is much better. With the TDMA phone I was always dropping into analag coverage. My CDMA phone always says 1x on it now!

USCC has been CDMA in Western NC for several years, and I know their system is very good there as well as western VA and West VA. Can't vouch for any other areas, though. Most of my family members who have cell phones have USCC, and are on a regional plan that includes everything from Ohio and PA to AL, GA, and FL with no roaming; and have traveled all over NC, SC, GA, VA, and FL with no coverage problems at all. I just wish they offered service where I live!

The technology is exponentially better as long as you are not on the fringe of their coverage areas.
