Go and see a tech at a local corp store, they will fix it for you for free if it is under the 1 yr warranty. Or you could always super glue it back on! Hope this helps!

Technically keypad problems like this actually fall under basic wear and tear and would not be covered by warranty. However most techs will use their best judgement and take it on a case by case basis... at most it would cost you $20 to be fixed...

No. On this issue we are considering it under the MFG warranty and we are fixing it for free.
I am a tech at USCC and I fix this all the time.

i have this phone and due to it being such a wide issue it is replaced for free; it takes about 10 min cause they actually have to take the phone apart. they guy that did mine was great though and he even replaced my outside screen because the bar had fallen off (also known issue) and he used a can of air to blow out all the dirt that had accumulated. the speaker had not been as loud but now its working great again!

actually MOTOROLA is recognizing the d pad falling apart as a defect (normally it's considered a cosmetic issue and not covered under the warrenty)and it can be replaced for free but we have to sent the unit out to be serviced and issue a loaner phone. if the customer wants the part replaced in the store they'd have to pay for the part and it's $20...same as the outside glass window and that bar thing that falls off all the time.
