30 day trial is ****ed up!

Ok so as a teenager, I never have a clue what I really want. I got the Blackberry Curve and then switched, within the period, to a Motorola Q9c. Well Windows Mobile bites!!! I wanted a Blackberry again and was making my decisions when lo and behold I found out that the 30 day trial period is only a one time courtesy. After buying a laptop, I have no money. I can't dish out 500 dollars for a retail price Blackberry and I can't dish out 250 dollars for a refurb either. So I guess I'm royally screwed with that Q engraved into my palm for 1 and 1/2 years. This sucks bad. Any suggestions? Any comfort... after all, it would be nice if this horrible phone could surprise me with something great. Plz help. 😢

i was referring to the kids that come in here and convince mommy and daddy to pay extra just so they can tear up the phone within a month. not you in general.

as far as a helpful reply, heres a few pointers that might help.

1. ask to speak to a manager, in a calm voice, i can NOT stress that enough. sometimes they can do more tell them you are willing to take back the same phone you had or whatever. you are paying extra for a service most dont take so he/she might be able to go that extra mile and work something out. otherwise they sell your old BB as a used phone and deal with an unhappy customer, word of mouth is a killer incentive.

2. if that doesnt work i would try calling customer service first, explaining to them what hap...

I undewrstand you are just a mere child, but you are on your own plan so should be old enough to deal with life. Sometimes you pick one phone and thats it. Same with a lot in life do you need people hold your hand for everything? If so maybe you aren't ready to be all grown up with your own phone plan. Welcome to adulthood

please.... rather than preach to me just help...i don't ask questions here for some stranger to preach to me about the real world..... but anyway thank you usccsucks. Someone on the Crackberry forum also recommended doing that and I believe I will. (...they couldn't believe USCC sells a bag phone...lol...but anyway...) yeah I think that when I get home from school tomorrow I'm going to call customer service and see what I can do as well as call the store from which I bought the Q... it's really not that bad but Blackberry seemed so much more streamlined and straight forward... and I liked the trackball.... But anyway, the only reaon I so hastily traded the phone was because the people at the corporate store told me that the 30 day trial star...

if it is an agent store i KNOW they can do it as i just did the same thing today. all we have to do is contact our AAE and they approve/deny it but i dont see why in your situation why they wouldn't good luck!

Did you get the problem resolved? If it was my store we would just trade you the phone back. If we already sold your first phone I would have one shipped. Its not like you're trying to get another different model.

P.S. what don't you like about the Q? I love mine. It does help to add software to customize the home screen. Not to mention all the cool themes you can download form everythingq.com that help with productivity.

Uhh yeah cuz you should be able to try out every phone we have on the phone bar just because you're an indecisive adolescent who thinks you can have whatever you want at the company's expense.

ok so i feel like it may been a mistake to reveal age to you ppl.... seriously i tell you that i am a teenager and you automatically assume the following: spoiled little brat...about 13 years old....dressed to a t....swinging my unnecessary smartphone as i walk........but i'm sorry to say that's just not the case.... i'm actually 16... junior in high school...very mature and independent compared to a lot of ppl......so plz stop wasting comments on bashing me and putting me down (lol). But anyway... i dont see how exchanging my phone a second time is at the company's expense... considering the fact that i payed already, would be giving the Q back which will most definitely be sold as a refurb...and how is us cellular such a customer-oriented ...

I see flaws in your statement, You say you have your own plan under your own name however you just revealed to us that your 16? There is your first lie, To be on your own contract, you must be a minimum of 18 years old.

US Cellular only provides a one time COURTESY swap because lets look at the numbers here....

You buy a LG 260 for example for 69.95then decide to bring it back. the phone costed uscellular 219.95....

They Can sell it used but they are still losing almost 50% of what they paid for it.

Thats why, and some companies charge your to upgrade your phone, some companies charge you to do a exchange, and some only give you 15 days. I dont think you know how great you have it, until u research and look what other companies w...

Do you realize after you have used a phone we can't sell it as new again. You paid a very cheap price for the phone compared to what it's worth. We lose money on that. And how are we to know you're only going to make 1 more exchange. What if you hate every phone we have. And I don't care how old you are, if you're pulling immature stuff like that.

There fore it is not your account its your grandfathers. You pay the bill? Fine but if you dont its his credit that gets messed up, not yours. He is the one that actually owns the account at least legally.

This sounds familiar I think you bought your phones at my location and I believe all of what you have asked I have already explained to you and I did in fact drive to another location a half hour from where I live to pick up the used Blackberry for you and it will be there tomorrow, I did this as a customer courtesy. What was stated before by someone is true regarding why we lose money on doing 2nd exchanges. It costs the wireless industry millions each and every year. I'm sorry if you didn't fully understand the 30 day gaurantee and I have in fact asked some folks higher up if we could approve another exchange for you but they told me only if you wanted the same phone. I apologize for you inconvenience and I hope we can make it up to you. T...
