New Spring Phones
Anyone know release dates or approximate release dates of any new phones out there. I see the rumor 2 is available now thru Sprint and Alltel.

We are supposed to get a new Samsung with a flip up keyboard instead of the rumor's slide.... in April!!

Samsung Gloss(TM) (formerly U440) - This device is a messaging centric clamshell phone with dedicated Messaging and Calendar keys. Don't mean to rain on your parade, but the info you just posted looked like you copied and pasted from OLR which is not for public information, the phones you mentioned are currently in testing, they haven't been approved yet, and it is wrong of us to let customers get their hopes up for phones that might not get approved, as an agent of this company you should reveiw the information clause and not release information before it is to be released.

Thanks for the info WLS! I've been waiting to hear an update. The reps don't seem to know anything in the stores when you ask. I asked one today and they said they'd have new ones "this summer". Thanks, that really narrows it down. Its too bad US Cell is always so far behind the curve on phones. Love the cost of the plans and great customer service...just the phone selection is limited. I've been holding out for a new batch to come before I pull the trigger...

We just can't say anything. I tell my employees that if it's not on the phone bar, it doesn't exist. A big reason for that is b/c release dates can change, and customers get upset when that happens. If you're holding off to get a phone on March 5th, and it doesn't come out till May, who are you gonna be mad at? Thats why we don't even talk about them in our store. As far as the info posted before, those phones HAVE NOT completed testing yet, and may or may not be released. I myself am hoping for that Pearl flip, but I can't get my hopes too high.

I saw the Rumor 2 in one of my local stores yesterday. They didn't have it out yet but they were nice enough to show it off. They said all they're waiting on is shipments of the phone and then they'll be ready for sale.

That whole title "new spring phones" sounds kind of gay. Like, new spring flowers, new clean underware, and new spring phones. Phones don't bloom in the spring like flowers.

The reason why we don't say anything about the phones that are in testing is because if the phone fails while in testing then we do not launch the phone. Lets just say that I told you about a new phone and it never becomes available would that be a positive experiences for you or a negative one. Trust and believe that the associates are aware of the phones that are being tested they also know if and when they are set to launch but that information is considered proprietary so unfortunately we can not give that info to you.
