I know US Cellular can disable it on their side just have to call them. Not sure if you can do it yourself on your phone. Our drivers here at work have US Cellular, company told US Cell turn off everything & they did. They can't even get incoming text or pics.

We can block the Easy Edge apps from coming up on they phone. But, if you're asking more can you get the Tritan WITHOUT the fees. No. The phone is a premium device and along with the Delve we don't sell it without. The internet, email, and navigation is all included with the $20 / month for the service. But, you can't have the phone without the service.

Hello! You have a good question and I'd like to give you a good answer! The first reply is correct for a specific class of phones. We can block internet access on Easyedge capable phones, however it's not recommended. Blocking the access excludes you from using great, free applications like My Contacts Backup and Easyedge ToGo.
The Delve and Tritan are in a different class of phones called Premium Mobile Internet phones; the internet situation works differently for them because they're in a different class. so basically all of the touch screen phones that us cellular has or will be getting will all have to have the internet on it and will have to be paid for and cannot be deactivated

As with the iphone and other devices like it (Instinct, Delve, Pre, Etc..) They do random updates for apps &/or system software. So it is doubtful you will be able to get any of these devices without internet unless you are ok with have a crippled device.

why would you want the phone w/o the premium services?
that's the answer i give to people that ask this question. basically, the answer is "no, you can't" because those phones (and their respective rebate offers) are sold with the agreement that you will purchase the premium mobile internet service for $19.95/month.
technically, it is possible to activate a smartphone or premium device w/o the extra service, it's just not allowed.
