Charging new phones
I love USCelluar but why dnt they let u charge phones to your account like other companies do? Just asking? 🙄
...
you can at some corporate owned stores but agent locations dont have that access to your bill to do that
...
correction...existing customers can charge to their account. New customers must pay up front, and the reason is because the chargeback ratio is much higher with new customers than renewals and if we allowed everyone to bill to the account, we'd be out some pretty expensive equipment when the time came around for people to pay their first bill and they just opt not to...which happens more than you might think.
...
To clarify slightly further - customers who have accounts that are at least six months old may bill phones and accessories to the account.
...
to even take it a step further, the account balance needs to be current and not passed due also
...
Agent locations like the one that I work at is located within a mall so there is privacy issues with accessing a bill where people are constantly around you. Also the software for applying the price of phones to the bill is not available for agent locations yet because they currently use a system called AIM and the retail locations use CARES.
...
to take it even a step further, they need to be the main account holder, and fully verified..
