Anyone have any idea what type of Android phones US Cellular may be getting in the next few months? My Contract is up in March, and I would like to stay with US Cellular if possible -- but I really want a nice Android phone.

From what I understand, there is a Motorola Android phone in testing.

That would be sweet -- especially if it is more like the droid than the cliq.

from what i confirm, we do have a moto android in the horizon as well as 5 or 6 HTC devices in the roadmap for 2010 so i bet atleast 3 or 4 of those will be android based.

That is encouraging news. If they would just get a couple of android phones by early 2010, I would be ecstatic. USCC's service mixed with a good phone is an ideal match for me.

Oh good... Glad you thought so. I was worried about what your opinion of my opinion was going to be. It really mans a great deal to me that you shared your thoughts on this, and I am glad to see that my mature response was received as intended. ๐Ÿ™„

From an April Report on Market Share of Smartphones in the US:

"Also interestingly, Android and RIM were the only two handset makers to grow in the past three months. RIM grew by 1.3, and Android grew by 5.2 percent. Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) dropped the most, losing 4 percentage points and Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) lost 0.1 percent. "

That would be great. I love my USCC service, but I've been running Android on my HTC Touch, and I must say, going back into Windows Mobile is painful after using Android for a while. I've been hoping that there are some nice Android phones coming available this year so I can keep my lovely USCC service when my contract is up.

Yes, I know that HTC Touch is a WinMo phone, but it is possible to run another OS on it(It is, essentially a small computer after all), if you're geeky enough(this is NOT for the average person!) and I've been running Android on my HTC Touch for a few months now.

I would love to have an actual designed-for-Android phone on USCC.
