Anyone have any idea what type of Android phones US Cellular may be getting in the next few months? My Contract is up in March, and I would like to stay with US Cellular if possible -- but I really want a nice Android phone.

From what I understand, there is a Motorola Android phone in testing.
...
That would be sweet -- especially if it is more like the droid than the cliq.
...
its probably going to be something like the Motorola Calgary
...
from what i confirm, we do have a moto android in the horizon as well as 5 or 6 HTC devices in the roadmap for 2010 so i bet atleast 3 or 4 of those will be android based.
...
go us cellular i knew theyd come around.
...
That is encouraging news. If they would just get a couple of android phones by early 2010, I would be ecstatic. USCC's service mixed with a good phone is an ideal match for me.

As long as none of them are still Windows Mobile. Bleugh. ๐ณ
...
Don't knock Windows Mobile, everyone is goo goo gay gay for Android, I will continue to use one of the most popular mobile OSes. ๐
...
BLECH! Windows Mobile is awful.
...
Oh good... Glad you thought so. I was worried about what your opinion of my opinion was going to be. It really mans a great deal to me that you shared your thoughts on this, and I am glad to see that my mature response was received as intended. ๐

From an April Report on Market Share of Smartphones in the US:
"Also interestingly, Android and RIM were the only two handset makers to grow in the past three months. RIM grew by 1.3, and Android grew by 5.2 percent. Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) dropped the most, losing 4 percentage points and Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) lost 0.1 percent. "

That would be great. I love my USCC service, but I've been running Android on my HTC Touch, and I must say, going back into Windows Mobile is painful after using Android for a while. I've been hoping that there are some nice Android phones coming available this year so I can keep my lovely USCC service when my contract is up.
...
HTC Touch is a Win-Mo phone...yes there is andriod in the works...
...
Yes, I know that HTC Touch is a WinMo phone, but it is possible to run another OS on it(It is, essentially a small computer after all), if you're geeky enough(this is NOT for the average person!) and I've been running Android on my HTC Touch for a few months now.
I would love to have an actual designed-for-Android phone on USCC.
...
According to Howardforums...we are getting the HTC desire. Sweet! They also mention another android samsung phone.
