Simone, Android is an operating system that runs on many different phone models (kind of like windows 7 is the operating system that can run on different kinds of new computers, like Dell, HP, etc). HTC actually makes a few different phones running the Android operating system, it is just that USCC does not have one for sell yet. I believe that the HTC Touch Pro2 that USCC is selling has the windows mobile operating system on it. Android is good because it is open source and really customizable. Thanks for clarifying ripped...I didn't realize that WinMo is open source (it is really hard to find information about it being open source online -- there seem to be conflicting reports about how open it really is) Anyways, I would just throw in my opinion that it seems that Android is more of a future ready operating system, designed from the ground up to be flexible and modern, while windows mobile is a very nice rehash of an old product. Here is a review from Engadget on Winmo 6.5: http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/06/windows-mo bile-6-5-review/ I think that I would enjoy an WinMo phone, but I have used a friends Android set (the Droid) and I was very impressed with its capabilities. Just my 2cents.
