OS 5.0 for BB Tour
Anyone know if/when USCC will be releasing it? I'm also in the mood to upgrade phones, new Blackberry coming anytime soon (June/July)

OS updates are always few and far between. Best thing you can do is keep checking forum sites to see if anyone has posted that it is available or checking http://www.uscellular.com/uscellular/common/c ommon.jsp?path=/smartphones/blackberry/softwa re.html for any further info on that.

look in different forms. i have heard of someone downloading the sprint version and it work on their us cellular tour. just be careful you dont want to corrupt the software on your phone

You can also check Blackberry's website using the Web SL http://na.blackberry.com/eng/update this is set up as carrier centric and when you plug your phone in it will tell you if there is an update available for it. you do have to have a highspeed internet connection on you laptop or pc depending on what you use. we use this tool in our service centers at US Cellular to update software on Blackberrys.

Just make sure you back up your phone through the Blackberry Desktop Manager (from the CD that came with your phone) as that update link will completely wipe out your phone when it's done updating, including your contacts.
