I just heard this and don't know how true it is...USCC will be rolling out "Phone Swap" just like battery swap but with phones...trade your phone for a refurbished one or pay $100 if you lose it....can it be true? I also hear they will finally have a family plan for data very soon...all devices will be included!!!

I sure hope so my wife wants us to upgrade to Smart phones but the extra for the data plans is whats stopping me! Maybe with a family plan i would be willing to go ahead and get them.

I have a crush I would love to swap but if it is only a swap for an in stock refurb then I doubt I would be able to get a decent phone.

I can verify there is NO phone swap in the works. Don't believe everything you hear. How could a small carrier afford such a huge expense? Makes no sense. You will have to wait until you are eligible for a new phone.

That is not what I hear from reps @ a USCC owned location near me. They have said it is top secret right now, but it will be one of the big things they are rolling out this holiday season...I would switch back to them if it works I would love to swap phones just like batteries if there was something wrong.

the earliest holiday season date I can see is the Thanksgiving holiday. That's longer away than one might think with the hints going around.

Why would a company do that? They would loose so much money. Can't believe everything you hear. Sales person might just be spouting stuff to keep you.

Its not like a fast food restraunt, they dont have to pay for the beef and resell it to you.
The ypay for the tower and after they own it they just pay upkeep and employees, and federal rights and so forth...
Trust me cell phone companies make bank, and cna easily afford stuff its just if they are willing to cut into profits.
But i'd be willing to cut into profits if it gains customers and increases profits..

I was unhappy with my phone and USCC swapped it out for a different "used" phone. It was a 30 day return and basically new. There was no charge or contract update.
Seems to me we already have this part.
Why does this project mythos have to be stretched out so long? Just do it, there is no reason to delay this until after Thanksgiving.
