Service Issues w/ USC

I have been with US Cellular for quite some time now. Until the price wars and all the unlimited plans from the Crickets & Boosts, US Cell has always had the best plans. I realize the phones are a step behind, but they are way better than a few years ago. One thing I never had to worry about was the service. However, it seems over the last few months the service is horrid. I power cycle, *228, battery pull, phone is in mint condition, etc etc. I realize the occassional house, basement, building or whatnot, but this is ridiculous and it's not just me. I would say since May of this year I am dropping calls and getting no service more than ever. Blackberrys seem to be the worst with this. I (and friends & family) have contacted tech support and...

Yes. Blackberry Bold. My sister has 5 lines with USC, a Moto VE20, 2 LG Tritans, an LG UX585 and a new HTC Desire. They have never gotten service in their house, which most carriers don't work in there anyhow, but we used to be able to make calls right outside, now we have to walk down the street or basically they just fight over the landline, lol. This area is about 1 mile south of the Lakes of Four Seasons. I had the RIM Tour before the Bold and it was even worse. I am shocked that you have had no issues. Take I65 South and get off on Rt. 231 go east towards Hebron...lol. Basically, anywhere south of Rt. 30 is horrid. Rt 2 off of Rt 30 going into the southern part of Valpo is bad as well. I was on a conference call this morning in my car o...

I know this will sound very techy but basic trouble shooting to start. Turn the phones off daily, just shut it down and wait a few seconds then turn it back on; 2nd, once a week do a batt pull while the phone is on; 3rd *228 ( but make sure the phone is not in roaming)... These basic things most of the time resolve 99% of all issues. Have the phones (VE20, UX585, and UX840s) received new software? If not sometimes that will definitely have an impact on the reception quality on the phones. With the Blackberry have you synced it to your PC? Make sure the OS is also current. I just got a BB Bold and made sure all software is up to date. The HTC is most concerning because it completely up to date. Try these things and see if that makes a ...

Well I appreciate this. As I stated in the original post we all definitely *228, battery pull, pwr cycle regularly. I will look into the software on each of these. But I think we just may be in a dead zone, lol. But like I said, service in NWI doesn't seem to be as good as it once was. What is 3249FD75? Trouble ticket?
