Samsung Mesmerize 2.2 Released
Yesterday (March 23rd) U.S. Cellular released the Froyo update for the Samsung Mesmerize. You will be able to do this on your own from the USCC website or go to an authorized retailer to recieve the update. Some agent locations may not have it yet but within a relatively short period of time the majority will.

Has anyone been experiencing terrible battery life after the new update? My battery drains ridiculously fast with 2.2.

Yes!!! My battery life was great before the update and now I am charging it at least twice a day. 😢

The software update resets everything. Try checking your settings all over again and make sure wifi and bluetooth are off if they are not in use.
Also, in settings->sound/display->screen timeout check to see what time you have for the screen to black out. Default is 1 min, I'd adjust down to at least 30 sec or 15 sec.
