I would like to buy the Xoom.. But, I can only get wi-fi.

-No deals.
-No plan available
-No rebate

Same price as Best Buy, Walmart, and McDonalds. At least there I can use coupons and get a discount.

I can get the Galaxy for a 2 year service but its going to be discontinued soon. And doesn't have guts aren't as good as the Xoom. I hear US Cell is going to be offering personal wi-fi like the others. But, not for a while yet. Any thoughts on the 2 Tabs?

.. and yeah, I can get the Galaxy for $200 after rebate and use it where ever I want, as well as wi-fi. Xoom is bad ass though!!

The Xoom will eventually be available with a plan.

Do you currently have an Android with USC? If so, I would simply add teathering onto your account and teather the Xoom. Definitely worth getting the Xoom.

Neither. The galaxy is outdated and garbage. The xoom is overpriced and buggy.

Get an asus transformer or acer iconia for 200 bucks less and root your phone and tether it for free. There's tethering apps that are undetectable. Or really save and get a nook color, flash cyanogen mod and tether it.

You can not tether for free with a phone, with any carriers. You have to pay for the data use with a phone that is tether. If you use wifi, that's different. It's free.

Well, yes.. technically you can. Just so happens I'm doing it right now. Sure you're suppose to pay for it but, the phones just happen to offer the service and its readily available. Just like on my LG Android phone. I understand how companies WANT to make extra money from it. But, its just like bluetoothing MP3's between phones. Sure, they want you to pay for it.. But, you don't. If I go over my data limit, then yes. I'll have to pay. But, I'm aware of this and I only use it from time to time when I'm not in a wifi spot or at home. Nobody is going to shut me off for it really.
