Is 4G Coming to US Cellular Late 1st Quarter? Any Idea of Phones Being Tested?

Was looking to upgrade my Desire last weekend and in talking with a sales rep about upcoming technology or phones, they heard that 4G may be coming at the end of the 1st quarter. This being said there currently is not a phone that supports 4G so I would want to wait on upgrading till a phone is available. Is there any ideas of what phones are currently being tested for 4G capability?

Its ashame they are so late to the game and their employees are brainwashed. I have seen 2 of the new 4g devices and ur better off getting a phone now and not wasting ur time cause they are garbage!

Not a lot of the information that I was looking for. What phones are they testing? Also, they may be coming out later in the game but at least they are advancing their technology. In our area from my experience they have the most reliable and affordable coverage from the other big name providers that I went to and still came back to US Cellular.

Figured this deserved a reply.

Our first LTE device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE launches in March, and our first LTE phone, the Samsung Galaxy S II Aviator launches in April. Our Portable MiFi also launches in March.

No word yet on future devices, but expect some nice things from Motorola's and HTC's side of the field.

Just a quick note... The Aviator is NOT a Galaxy S II phone. Its not even a dual core processor. Its basically the Mesmerize (Galaxy S I) with a 4G radio in it.

The S II and the Electrify are faster better processing speed phones.

Reasons: Verizon and ATT / Sprint have larger Single band blocks of spectrum to run their LTE networks on. Because of this, they have been able to launch faster. However.. This also prevents roaming on other networks with their single band 4G radios.

Samsung has agreed to develop the worlds first chipset with a Quad Band 4G radio with US Cellular.

I know this is a little late on my part for a reply, but this needed to be done.

The Aviator is NOT the GS2 (obviously you know that by now assuming you truly are a USCC Rep)

USCC does NOT carry the MiFi, they sell the Samsung LC11 Hotspot. (Which is a superior hotspot anyway)
