Motorola electrify not 4g ready?

Disappointed1

Apr 1, 2012, 9:02 PM
The whole reason I got this phone 3 months or so ago is because the USC rep said it was 4g ready. But from what I've been able to find out it's not. Just looking for a definitive answer and is there anything I can do to get a different phone? Thanks

The Moto Electrify is not a 4G phone, nor is there any way to make it 4G capable. If you have enough belief points you could upgrade your phone early, you would need 1000 points for each month early you want to upgrade. Also the first 4G phone doesn't launch until the 5th and I believe that the electrify is a better phone as the Samsung 4G is a Galaxy S series phone. Also as of right now not all uscc customers have 4G in their local areas, you should check and see if 4G is available in your area.

I'm sorry to hear that the rep told you it was 4G Capable as it is not. That being said if you got it 3 months ago you're well on the fasttrack to upgrading early. As stated above the Electrify is indeed a much more powerful phone than the Galaxy S Aviator. I'd bide your time and wait for our first LTE Motorola phone (which we're pretty sure is right around the corner.)

The electrify is a better phone in a 3G market, not so in a 4G market. If you haven't seen the download comparison you should, the Electrify gets spanked. Also, the screen is more crisp and clear on the Aviator. Other than that I'd rather have the Electrify.
