USCC Windows Phone 8 - Which Phones are Coming?

As the other Carriers are marketing the Windows Phone 8 via their Stores, Web Sites, Television ads, Etc. it continues to amaze me why USCC announces a formal news release, which they will support and carry a Windows Phone 8, yet remains off-the-radar towards sharing information with customers where they stand. As a user who has stayed true to USCC for 20 plus years, and worked through the it's becoming more than uncomfortable to witness others move forward in a timely manner. During a recent call to USCC Smartphone Support, when an inquiry towards the Windows Phone 8 was posed, the response was, “we are usually trained and brought up-to-date with new phones for release 30 – 60 days prior, and have yet to be trained on any Windows Phone 8...

Only one has made any form of an appearance in our inventory systems/activations systems and that's the HTC 8S. Been there for a little over a month now.

It's now been 9 days shy of 4 months from the original post. I really did believe US Cellular would have a Windows Phone 8 by now, and more than one manufacturer and model, which to choose from, including a high end option. The continued feedback from US Cellular Customer Support has grown old and is no longer enticing. The continued response about how they support the new Windows Phone 8 and to wait because when it comes out I'll be happy. Hmmm ... it's already out and I'm not happy with US Cellular. I'm trying to stay loyal although it's increasingly tough to do so. With this shared, is there an update status? Curious, which carrier will you be moving to, to address the issue. T-Mobile is not looking to bad. Verizon might be an op...

I'm not sure how true this is, but I've heard US Cellular has some kind of contract with Samsung. Kind of similar to how Sprint and Apple are working together.

This may be great for USCC, but it sucks for customers who are not interested in Android or Samsung's shotty hardware. We want variety and I'm tired of waiting for it.

I'm reading informal post about US Cellular bringing in a HTC 8X, but nothing formal from US Cellular, (go figure). Even if it's not valid, I'm having a tough time understanding why US Cellular is not posting on their web site the status of their Windows Phone 8.

It's Easter Sunday 2013. I'm still holding out for a US Cellular Microsoft based Windows Phone 8 ... high end, (an entry level model draws no interest to me or those I know who too, are waiting). Ironically, I still have family, friends and business clients awaiting this too.

Should you know more, please share.

An upfront Thank You for your time and reply!

My best wishes this Memorial Day weekend to everyone who has served our country, whose family and friends have served our country, or who is simply grateful to all those who have served.

It is now six (6) months and counting since I first asked, which Windows Phone 8 devices are coming to US Cellular. During this time the responses were minimal, paralleling US Cellular’s formal response as well. I mention US Cellular in the same reference as a response because it was my interpretation US Cellular has, (between my first post and this post) shared in a news release they were still moving forward with the support of a Windows Phone 8 initiative.

Since this time, I’ve read news reports on the initiative to bring Apple’s iPhone and RIM’...

Really US Cellular? No response? Certainly not surprising, but disappointing. Based on the non-response, yet others picking up on the general media’s … yet again … announcement of another Samsung ... but wait, it has the “New” WP8! No longer is it new, and a mid-grade at best!

Check it out US Cellular: http://wmpoweruser.com/samsung-ativ-odyssey-c onfirmed-as-us-cellulars-new-windows-phone/ Do you really need to let others market for you? I don’t think so although it now appears the latest US Cellular Business Plan is going this direction.

Try not to look too dumbfounded. Check out your own FaceBook correspondence: https://www.facebook.com/USCellular/posts/101 51570020129172 Andria, from the USCC Social Team, your inability to r...
