Seems like they are deliberately trying to drive customers away as fast as possible. Chrono 2 raised to $70. Upgrade fee raised to $35. Now you can't upgrade more than 4 months early and now it cost 1750 points per month. Originally it was 1000, then raised to 1300, and now 1750 points per month early buyout. Apparently customers weren't leaving fast enough, so they raised it some more. Oh and battery swap going away soon. Seems like they are doing everything wrong now. They are trying to be just like the big 4, but without the phone selection or coverage area of the big 4. Who knows how much longer they'll stay in business at this rate.

Speaking of customers not leaving fast enough, for the nearly 3 years Mary Dillion has been CEO , why has this trend of losing customers not been reversed? After the selling off of the Chicagoland market to sprint,US cellulars customer count will quickly drop to near 5 million. What path is Mary leading the company down? Is this what the Carlson family brought her in to do?

The company is basing its entire future on their Getting to Know Your Customer books. They think if you ask enough questions you will get sales left and right. In reality you need to have the products and services that sell themselves. You can ask questions all day long and if you don't have what the customer wants, it's all for nothing.

Well it looks like the Carlson's are very pleased with her performance. She got a $690,000 bonus for losing all those customers in 2012.

Heck I would be willing to work for the Carlson's for half that amount. I would lose 1 million customers for them and only charge them $350,000 for my services. I guess we can see why there is so much distrust in these corporate executives and corporations in general. They want you to sacrifice your life for them and even take pay cuts while they soak up gigantic bonuses. They'll even lie and tell you business is fine when they know it isn't. Mind you, this is just a bonus and not their annual salary. Maybe the company would do better if they invested a...

Almost 1.6 mil in bonus money to 4 people!! I know they work hard, and I am not saying that they don't deserve to be compensated for the value they bring, but when I saw that much being given away I could only hear the sound of a toilet flushing in my mind. Corporate cars, free travel, 6 figure incomes isn't enough or something?

Anyone in the markets that are being sold off are getting the shaft when it comes to new phone prices. No promo pricing like the other markets. Not that it matters much considering once they upgrade their phone, it won't work on Sprint's network. I wonder what USCC will do about contracts for new customers once Sprint takes over?

So according to the sprint-uscell deal for the Chicagoland market, in a few months all phone numbers for those areas will be converted over to sprint customers, that includes the fantastic four and everyone that works at the corporate head quarters. Does anyone know if Mary will be getting an iPhone?

US Cellular is not moving the headquarters and they so far are only selling the customers, not the towers, so Mary and company will stay in Chi town and work off USC network.

That was an attempt at being funny , Mary gets an iPhone, get it? Any way your right sprint did not want the towers, just the spectrum. However ,when the deal is finalized and the customers are moved over to sprint, uscellular will simply go to each of the towers and power them off. Maybe they will eventually sell off the equipment , who knows.within a year the towers will not be in service and customers from say wisconsin will technically be roaming and be limited to 300 mb of data while in those areas. As far as that goes I have not heard of any agreements.

I heard we are going to start charging $10 to transfer pics for customers, unless they buy a memory card. Wow this company is just like the big 4 in virtually every regard. We should charge a $5 convenience fee to pay your bill in store like Sprint does. Might as well since we charge for everything else. Now that would be a change I could agree with. I don't know why Sprint didn't want our towers. I figured they could reuse them for their own network. You're right though, Mary and friends won't have USCC service at their own headquarters, just like it was prior to 2003. I wonder how long it will be until they start selling off the office furniture at corporate? When that happens, you'll know it's all over.
