Stick it to Walmart
I have been wondering for a couple of years now, if Mary Dillion is on the board of directors for Target stores, why have US Cellular not been available at Target stores? Do you think it's because she doesn't believe in the product and doesn't want to stick Target with a dying brand?

To my knowledge, USCC has never been in Walmart stores in the Chicago market, since entering Chicago back in 2002. I know my local Walmart stores have not sold USCC. They only sold Sprint, AT&T (when it was originally Cingular) & T-Mobile in the beginning, then Verizon in 2005 or 2006. I have seen some USCC affiliates in some Walmart stores in Wisconsin, but they weren't operated by Walmart. I believe by now, Walmart eliminated the resellers in their stores, so they can sell the carrier branded cellphones themselves. Of course, Chicago is one of the markets they're divesting, & I see more markets being eliminated as well (if not the entire company).

Walmart has been carrying uscc's uprepaid for a year now. Phones and refill cards.
Of course in a year or more uscc has only allowed one smart phone for this service and it's junk.

I don't know which markets USCC has sold prepaid phones, but my local Walmart stores in NW Indiana & the entire Chicago market never sold USCC prepaid phones (they're officially out of the Chicago & Northern Indiana markets now). My local Walmart stores only carry the following prepaid phones: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Boost Mobile & Virgin Mobile (both using Sprint's network), Walmart Mobile (using T-Mobile's network), Straight Talk (another Walmart prepaid that uses Verizon's network), Tracfone & Net 10 (mostly using AT&T & T-Mobile's network, as most of their phones are GSM phones), & Cricket (must use a tri-band phone, as most of the Midwest uses the AWS band for service). I think it's just a dud. There is only 1 phone you can use as far as smartphones go, the Ascend y. They used to have another but discontinued it.
Support has been really bad as well. They don't speak English and on Aug 5, I was on hold for an hour and a half before getting a rep. The night before same thing so I hung up. I drove all the way into town and sat in a us cellular store for awhile before somebody finally answered the phone.
The whole prob is that I have no choice. I love were I live, small community and all, however us cellular is the only option there is, if you want to use it inside your house or up at the church.
