Since US Cellular had the "one and done" plans, but then decided to eliminate it later and go back to contracts, do you think that the customers who signed up because of this will have a class action lawsuit?

Plans are plans and in the fine print it says that all plans are subject to change without notice. There is a nice little disclaimer that says this on all the brochures. Along with that no company ever advertises an end date for plans etc. So therefore there cannot be any type of repercussion due to that all rate plans and features can be subject to change w/o notice.
However the only clause in the contract that would allow customers to get out of it is when the company installs additional charges (not by the gov't) that the customer cannot challenge then the customer has a 30-day window to cancel their contract w/o fees.
ex. the AT&T $.61 admin fee

Well the reason I ask that is because it seems that this is a little different. It was advertised that customers could sign up for one and done contracts and be able to upgrade w/o contracts in the future., but they never received the benefit from it. To me it is like Sprint saying "we are offering unlimited data for life", and shortly after saying "no more unlimited data, because rates can change w/o notice.
To me, it seems that those customers who signed up during that time, should still be able to take benefits of no more contracts. I understand new customers not getting the opportunity. But those existing customers actually never received the benefit promised to them. So is it at least not false advertisement? I am not saying t...

I agree that it seems like false advertisement or bait and switch, but their lawyers covered their butts. Now they are doing radio commercials saying "come to a carrier that puts people first." Really? How? They charge the same $35 activation fees, $15 phone number change fees, and $35 restocking fees, etc just like the other guys. The only thing they have that's different is their almost worthless "points" system. Now carriers like VZ, ATT, and T-Mo have plans that let customers upgrade up to every 6 months while USCC still lets people do it at up to 18 max. Their points system used to ...

The "Belief Plan" turned into a bait and switch, when they started gutting it.
I'd also point out when you start using words like "Believe, Belief" and when you try to make yourself different and express that to your new and existing customers, you've betrayed your company and advertising by hiding behind the "fine print"

If someone starts a lawsuit, please also sue them for their stupid commercials touting one of the largest 4G coverage areas available. That is total BS and their own map proves it. They have a decent chunk of 4G service in the midwest (minus Chicago, which is ridiculous), but nationwide, the 4G service is basically non-existant and a total joke. I really am starting to hate this company.

Know how many lies this company has told over the years? An ex AAE said she was so glad when they let here go with the carnage a little over a year ago. Her comment: "I'm sorry I had to tell my agents so many lies."
