Getting a vx6000...
I was wondering if there was a way to get a credit on turning my 4400 back in and using it toward a 6000 or if anyone had one they wanted to sell? Also, is it possible to take a Verizon programmed 6000 and have US Cellular reprogram it to work on their network? On ebay getting a 6000 for Verizon is cheap and no problem... Thanks in advance!
SPC code snafu
One would have assumed that USC would not SPC lock a phone that did not have active USC service, but one would be wrong.
Now I have to go through the unfortunate process of finding a way to get the SPC lock code from USC.
If anyone here can help me do that I would very much appreciate it. Yes, I know, the codes are not supposed to be given out. However, special circumstances deserve special accomodations.
I was hopeful that I could use bitpim, but it does not support the 3589i.
On the chance that anyone could help me, the ESN is 04303807094 ...

Can the store update my software?
I got a Samsung SPH-A460 phone from my friend. It was a Sprint phone, but we believe is designed to work the same on the US Cellular network here in Chicago also (Trimode CDMA, 1900/800 digital, 800 analog). The phone MSL/SPC thing is unlocked, and I was wondering if I take it into the US Cellular store, will they be able to put the US Cellular software on the phone and activate it for me? All I really care about is if they will turn the phone on, but it would be nice if they could put their software on it too. 'Cause now when the phone starts up it says Sprint.
Thank you very, very much for your help.
Chris.
SPC Codes have a purpose......
So, PLEASE THINK before you break policy and give out SPC codes, especially if you are doing it from your work PC, as the IP is being logged. 😲

US Cellular's Web Page Revised
And, at least in my area (New England) they have eliminated Nokia phones from their CDMA selections, and raised the prices on most of the other phones. LG Vx4400 now $109.00 even with a 2-year plan.
Oh well....

Hope they also come out with one comparable to LG's VX4400, for those of us who don't feel the need to take pictures on our phones .
Hopefully, our friends at US Cellular will decide to carry Nokia's new offerings. The 6255i is BREW compatible, so I assume it'll work with their Easyedge.
