Treo's on Cricket...?

River_City_Ransom

My stepdad mentioned to me the other day that he found some Treo's (older models, 300's & 600's), that were supposedly moved over to Cricket. The seller of these claimed that the devices would only work on-network for Voice service, and not data. This interested my stepdad, since he currently carries around both a Palm Pilot, and a Cricket phone. He really enjoys Cricket service, and asked me to see what i could find out any more details on this endeavor before he undertakes it. Any experience, or helpful knowledege, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advanced,
-RCR

you are going to face the same problems that you face anytime you flash a phone...limited features and the fail rate is pretty high...that's not to say that there are plenty of people out there with flashed phones that work great (i've seen them) just be aware that there may be problems
