yes i seen this and heard it aswell but go to mycricket.com and look at there coverage map. it is marginal at best. and thats why they can offer that deal.

Was worth well more than $50. Not the best coverage, but better than a lot of other $99 + some for unlimited carriers. The phones tend to suck, though.
