flashing a BB
If I flash a BB Pearl from Sprint will the data work properly? I know they both use similar spectrums, both EVDO-Rev A (as does VZW) but if you bring Sprint phone to VZW for example, the data will not work, it's voice/text only. VZW also does not support flashing phones, whereas with Cricket it's almost encouraged, which makes sense given that with no phone subsidies to worry about, it's straight profit.

The data will not work! Yes the networks are the same but the phone internet runs on a BB specific code, feature what ever you want to call it, which Cricket does not have. Voice and Text SHOULD??? works but the data definately will not...besides you do risk that the phone may or may not work either...

You won't be able to use the BB internet or email but you can get it to work. You'll have to use alternate apps. Download opera mini and a gmail app and you'll be able to use them.
