its all about logistics

its not so much that they have an agreement with kyocera, kyocera gives them alot of support. where as in the past when they carried nokia phones nokia looked at cricket as not worth there time..ie no support...
also kyocera can keep up with the demand and flow of new handsets, nokia could not....

most of kyocera's handsets are made either in mexico or south east asia....nokia i guess is in switzerland or somewhere else in europe.
