๐ well i have worked for boostmobile as a customer rep for almost 2 years,so i know how everything work with the service and plans,so whenever you guys have a question you know what to do...
...
In a monthly unlimited plan it is posible to request a printed record of account activity with numbers dialed to and text messages numbers? How do I do it? Calling or through internet acount? Thanks
...
maeloSep 1, 2010, 1:15 PM
sorry with the monthly plan all the transations comes like multimedia mms,so you wont get them at all..and when you go to boostmobile.com it will be the same,,you cannot get them printed,, ๐ข
...
One question. Can you activate a HTC Hero on Boost? Thanks.
...
Don't know why you would want to, as the process can mess up your phone, but okie.
Go to a third-party (read: independent) store. They can help ypu.
...
Why is post-paid so much more expensive than pre-paid? Why is your service so cheap?
...
maeloSep 1, 2010, 1:35 PM
well with post-paid you have to sigh a contract and gives a lot of personal infos,so post-paid is soooo expensive because they normally give you a cell that cost like 400 dollars for 50.00 dollars as an offer but the problem is with the contract they will take money for the service and the device.post-paid is you use the service and the you pay, according what you have used.
prepaid you just pay and then you use,you are paying in advanced,so when you buy a phone, you pay the full amount.and you do not sigh for anything.
boost is cheap, because of the type of technology we use,so we dom not have very smart phones ,adn when you activate a phone we do not collect any pernal infos like adress, social security, phone number or anything,so when you...

I was told by a rep that Nextel and Boost use the same network technology. Is Nextel overcharging its loyal customers?
...
its cause the have less of a coverage map and the date speed is horrible
...
dj89Jan 22, 2011, 4:37 PM
And that particular question falls into the prepaid vs postpaid debate, like, for example, why are T's prepaid plans so much cheaper than what you charge your loyal customers that had the guts to sign a contract?
...
Why is your hold music like it is? Why do I have to sit on hold for [insert hyperbole involving long periods of time] just to talk to a rep?
...
Oh, they let you sit on hold?
I get to press IVR buttons until they hang up on me for the seventh time. I don't get a rep until I cuss loudly at the IVR.
On an unrelated note, I was invited to a surprise HR meeting. I wonder what triggered that?
...
maeloSep 1, 2010, 1:43 PM
what can i say? the IVR is horrible you have right to be upset ,,about people hungig up on you ,,sorry nobody deserve that ๐ข
...
The IVR hangs up on me, your reps are great. It gets frustrated too when I tell it to eat its own shoe. I've never had a machine talk so negatively to me before!
...
I do not recall typing that at all.
Weird.
...
I do remember that! I thought it was odd that you were relatively cordial to a rep...
...
maeloSep 1, 2010, 1:40 PM
weel music is just music for hold,,and the automatic machine is very crazy i know that, everybody complains about it.
but in the system you guys have all the options and you can make almost everything, and you do not have to get a rep.
i will give you a trick:choose option number 5 and then press zero twice and you will get a rep right away ๐
...
for the tip. I'll try that the next time I call(though I rarely have the need to call Boost)............. ๐
...
When is Boost getting a new modle Blackberry or CDMA Android? They got to stay ahead of the curve don't you think?
...
No, they don't have to stay ahead of anything.
...
Amarantamin said:
No, they don't have to stay ahead of anything.
Thats right... They never have to get new modle phones and keep the same 2K and late ones and still attract new customers, and keep that old ones that are looking for the next bigger and better piece of tech for the right price. Well since they don't, cause you said so, Boost has nothing to worry about. ๐
...
maeloSep 16, 2010, 3:31 PM
right, but at the moment we do not have infos about when we are going to have a new Blackberry or Android phones.but i know they will soon
...
hey what up man ? i want to noe where the call tunes for the cdma side man
...
maeloOct 6, 2010, 10:03 AM
sorry,CDMA will never have call tones
...
I know it would be difficult, but can you explain why? That's the only negative issue I have with Boost. ๐
...
same with the blackberry. reps told me i couldn't get the call tones and ring tones games all that stuff off boost.com i have to go through the app world. i sync my itunes and use them as ring tones so i could care less I'm just like what the hell is the use of having it then?
...
its more about rim then it is boost. there just provided the device and provide the extras if the manufacturer more or less do it like apple does to get more cash flow
...
I see that a new Boost Blackberry 8530 is supposed to be available at retailers starting October 3rd, however, I cannot find it. It isn't even at my local Sprint store that sells Boost. When will it be available? Also, it seems that all the press releases showing it selling for $249.99, however, Boost website says $299.99. Can you confirm the price?
...
maeloOct 6, 2010, 10:04 AM
sorry for the wrong infos about the new blackberry, you can go to any store if they do not have it at the moment so they will sonn, and the price for the curve is not 299.99 it is 249.99 it was a mistake boost Will fix it
...
Yes I want to know can i get free internet access for email and the web if i switch to your company and what is your plan pricing for unlimited days nights weekends, anytime minutes?
...
Is the $2/Day Unlimited plan only on days you use the phone?
...
It's only for days that use unlimited service. If you don't use an unlimited amount, then it is free.
...
Will I still be charged the full unlimited amount?
...
No, then it's free because you didn't use unlimited.
...
Well, I'm glad that's covered!
Hey, did you here that Boost Mobile is now offering Shrinkage?
...
So is the municipal pool!
...
so what would qualify as unlimited usage?
...
Using the service without limits.
...
when are the cdmed side are getting the call tones and better service or any updates boost plans on giving us :
...
It's the CDMA partner-company of Boost.
...
Can you send and receive ringtones on the Blackberry 8530? I'm thinking of getting the 8530 and switching from Cricket to Boost. ๐
...
you can just sync your itunes and use them as ringtones just an fyi
...
epikOct 25, 2010, 6:42 PM
๐
...
What I was wondering is if you can use homemade ringtones on the Blackberry 8530. I make my own ringtones and have made alot of them. I want to make sure I can use them on this phone before I buy it.
...
Use a question mark. Maelo does a search for question marks on the forum.
...
So... What's Boost gonna do when iDEN is gone?
...
Boost CDMA, of course!
...
Heaven knows there needs to be two competing CDMA pre-pay owned by the same company.
...
The weird part is that they actually will compete with each other.
...
All of the money will go to Sprint. Fake competition is GREAT!
...
Best part is, they make more money per prepaid subscriber than per postpaid.
Because they still pay us.
Allegedly.
...
But it seems like Boost got a lot more calls than we did any time the Boost routers went down.
...
Yeah, pay nothing for the network and less than nothing for customer service and tech support, then even $35.00/month is profitable.
In fact, all the customers that don't call us pay a higher rate to subsidize the customers that call us all the time.
...
Hence the ASL fee. I've actually had customers be TOTALLY OK with the ASL fee once I explained that little factoid.

WIll we have an LG Optimus B anytime soon?
...
We might!
Maybe after the LG Optimus V for Virgin came out!
...
dj89Dec 13, 2010, 3:00 PM
Well, THAT would be a bit misleading, as we have Verizon out there.

They already released the LG Optimus VZW!! Tsk!

Only Boost Mobile could sell such a claim.

Does Boost show caller ID on incoming and outgoing calls?

The coverage map shows that there is better than decent (but not great) coverage in my area (93433, 93420, 93449, 93401) BUT I have heard from a wireless sales person in both Target and Best Buy that, while Boost is technically a MVNO on Sprint's network, that reception in my area for the MVNO's is and always will be second to those on post-paid contracts (Verizon, AT&T, & Sprint). Is it true that MVNO customers (for instance, Boost customers) are subject to receiving second fiddle access to the network provider's wireless network(s)?
Also, when in an area where the parent network (in Boost's case, Sprint) to the MVNO (in this case Boost) has little to no service, can service be accessed via roaming agreements or another avenue?

Complete lies. Your service with Boost or Virgin will be the same as with Sprint. The downside is you will not have an opportunity to roam. It's Sprint network or nothing.
