The iDen line up has really shrunk but I get plenty of construction workers and just plenty of ppl asking if there are any other iDen phones available besides the i296, i465, i9, and even the i1.

besides the new ones?

What is wrong with iDEN customers? They ask for new phones, then new phones are made. Their response?

Yes the i1 is a android, but without WiFi to really power it, the i1 is moving at the same speed as a power chair on the autobahn. As far as I know there has been no R&D to bring iDEN to the same level as the other networks. iDEN will have still have its place in the world for sometime still sinc...

And frankly, I use my Nextel phone for calling and for PTT and texting, but that's it. I don't need the internet and all that jazz. I have my iPod Touch for those functions, and frankly it works well. Now that you can get free wifi pretty much anywhere you go (heck even at Wendy's!) you don't need to shell out money for a data plan.

Nextel's/Boost's iDEN network is best for PTT and voice and as someone who's had all four carriers, I like iDEN the most for voice and PTT.
