Boost Mobile i415 Question

Hello! We just got two i415's today and have a question...

We've been trying to chirp my sister-in-law who is a Nextel customer but when we do our phones say "USER NOT REACHABLE A5"
What does this mean?? Her walkie-talkie # looks like this: 0*00*00000 which looks different from our numbers which are like this: 000*0000*0000

I'd appreciate any help!! 😁

you might want to check first and make sure you have the right number -- I'm not absolutely positive, but I think all the walkie-talkie numbers (boost and nextel) are 10 digits (though yes, the stars are in different places).

I don't normally use the walkie talkie, so I can't help you much more than that ...

Nope, the DC numbers are variable in length depending on the subscriber's network ID and member ID, although perhaps the area ID is variable in length as well, as all my contacts with DC have three digits in the area ID.

As to the original question, that error usually arises because the phone is turned off or is out of the coverage area. There are more specific messages say if the phone is busy on another DC call or a cellular call.
