Just got Helio and all I can say is this service is simply amazing. If anyone out there is looking for a truely NEW experience from a phone I definately recommend Helio. I got a 500 min plan with unlimited EVERYTHING for $65 a month!!!!! Check it out!
...
might consider it if they get a bluetooth phone because thats a dealbreaker, for now im sticking to cingular, they just released 3g in my area and cant wait to get a 3g phone
...
I believe all of their upcoming phones will be bluetooth. Also, i think EVDO is faster than 3g. plus i pay $65 for unlimited EVERYTHING with the exception of day minutes (500).
...
EVDO is not quicker then HSDPA, there quoted to have the same speeds
...
umm try again sprints evdo which they use is faster then cingular by at least 100kbps
...
Cingular and T Mobile are 10 steps behind Sprint and Verizon in the US.
EVDO is far superior to anything GSM in the US.
Cingular... That's funny, but hey... you have Roll Over minutes. LMFAO
...
LMAO that was funny but mean
...
Hey they get Rollover...you have a plan that is way too high, but its okay because you are wasting your money over the period of a year and you get to SEE how much you are wasting!!! WOOHOO!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣
My friend told me proudly how she had accumulated 5000 rollover minutes and I laughed at her. I asked her if she would rather save 20 bucks a month or have a bunch of minutes in the security cushion she'll never use. 😈

evdo is a 3g technology, the 3g im talking about is HSDPA which cingular uses and it has the same speeds as evdo rev a., the extra bonus about hsdpa is that you can talk and sent/receive data at the same time, otherwise, not different at all as far as speeds: evdo rev a and hsdpa can support video calling but probably wont be implemented for a while, but rev a isnt completely out
...
no... hspda is not as fast as rev a. it is comparable to rev 0... but rev a is the fastest wireless technology available today in the states... until the full 4g network is launched by sprint. everything hspda can do... rev a does better.
...
rev a matches the speeds of hsdpa and there are different classes of hsdpa, i may be wrong or you may be wrong, gimme a source so i can know which is faster, and 4g wont be comming out tomorrow so thats nothing to get excited about yet
...
yes but HSDPA uses the same spectrum as voice. EVDO Data and CDMA Voice does not. So no matter how many users call on cdma the data speed remains the same. On the other the more calls the lower the speed. Kind of like cable internet the more in your area that is using it the slower the speed!
...
excellent comparison, thats y i never use the internet from 3-5pm, but there arent many HSDPA so we will get to probably use HSDPA, and since its slowly introduced, there will be less HSDPA users, and you could probably get to near theoretical speeds.
...
true but when it is widespread it won't be.
...
thats y im gonna get it while its hot!, if u remember that saying. lol
...
EVDO IS a 3G technology!
