Face It....Throw the towel in....

Ok, put all of your arguments aside.....Now that Orange & Blue have merged, Verizon & Sprint are next. Largest GSM network VS. Largest CDMA network.

Where does that leave You (T.M)? Dead along-side of Nextel.....Where ya gonna go? Nowhere.

So try your 3 day weekend, Talk or Walk, etc.....but with your "spiderweb" network (as all the rest of us call it), good luck on not bleeding customers profusely within this next couple of wireless-industry-history-setting quarters coming up. Good Luck T.Mobile. Bye Bye.

T-MOBILE PTT .. EVIDENCE??

After reading a review on the Motorola i830 phone(NEXTEL), i have read that t-mobile will be getting Push-to-talk soon. Here is the exact quote and link:
This is a great phone and a big step for tech-laging nextel. I would recommend this phone to peole who are nextel loyalees. However, T-Mobile if offering a PTT service soon, and that wil lbbe the best, simce T-Mo is adding new towers and improving their service. They also have the best plans, by far. One thing that could be changed on this phone is the "spot light"... it could be changed into an actual light for better photos, and videos should be longer. It will be interesting to see the phat farm i860, since it has an IR port, SD slot, and TV TUNER!!! I rate this regular i860 pretty go...

Lets Try Something

I am in the market for a cell phone... but i noticed something about conversations i have had with any kiosk or store i've gone to..

When i am talking to a Representative about the downfalls of there service, while at there store or kiosk, I automatically get a rebuttal of how another service has larger downfalls.. my rebuttal is that i was talking about there service and standing there talking with them.. Not @ the competitors..

to me a situation like this is bad sportmanship.. can't we converse on a level that does not badger the competitors.. can people take a blow without pointing the finger.. or is this what it will always come down to...

try a new strategy is all i'm asking... when asked about your service, answer with your...

I have a sidekick 2 with unlimited data and a voice plan. Do I qualify for the free Friday's too or do I have to have a plan that is over $39.99 or something?

Bluetooth?

I just switched over to T-Mobile from Verizon Wireless. I bought a Motorola A630 and had a simple question about the Bluetooth. What exactly do I need to use it and start transfering things over to my phone? Do I just need to buy one of those dongle/usb commectors from Ebay for the bluetooth? Thanks..

I HATE BEING SO $&%#&!@ INDECISIVE!!

Ok everyone, PLEASE ya gotta help me out on this one! I know I work for the darn company but I just can't make up my mind lol! I'm eligible to upgrade here in the next month and for over the last month I've been thinking about what I want, but I still have to be practical in that I can't afford anything too much, but I don't want bottom of the barrell, too. With T-Mobile thus far I've had a 3650(just too freaking big), V300(piece of crap),V205(loved it but met an early fate with the washing machine) and for the last several months I bought someones old R225 and have been using it without a hitch, simple and plain, crystal clear reception, easy to use, only one problem-I'm a sucker for gadgets, its driving me nuts not having any. I like what ...

I apologize for the questions 🤭 but would greatly appreciate any info 🙂

Camera Phones

Just a thought, rather a discussion I had gotten into, not necessarily carrier specific, what are you all's thoughts on this:
With the increasing security in the U.S., some places are beginning to ban camera phones for of course "security reasons". If for example you went into a zoo, or subway, or heck even tourist attraction and were asked to hand over your camera cell phone because someone saw you using it or from a bag search, etc...-Would you consider that violating your personal rights, or would you simply be ok and understand if its for security reasons, then whatever I have to do?

Uploading my own Ringtones?

Hello,

I'm having some problems uploading ringtones to my phone (SGH-E315), and I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm using PSMPlay to convert midi files to mmf, but I can't seem to e-mail them to myself successfully. The attachment never comes across in the e-mail. When I send it as an mmf file, I get a message saying "attachment dropped". I even tried renaming it as a jpg file, but then I get an error saying "unsupported content type". Am I doing it wrong, or is T-Mobile restricting me from uploading my own ringtones? The files I'm creating are only around 10k in size too. Do I need to spring for the data cable?

Thanks!

How do I open my own Indirect/Authorized Wireless Dealership?

I'm already in the industry (work in direct retail) and have a "angel investor" who's willing to fund me in opening in my own store.

I know almost nothing of the inner workings of the indirect channel however. Do I work through the company or a master dealer? How much startup capital is needed? Do I have to leave any deposits? How do I order handsets?

Any Tips/Advice/Guidlines/Contacts/Pitfalls would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

about coverage and reputation

I had a chance to go to web.archive.org
and key in voicestream.com
and see the past voicestream website
T-Mobile US (including VoiceStream) has been only 7 years of business
if you see the renamed site in 2002, and look at the un-clickable mini coverage map, and compare the current one, you'll be amazed how the coverage expanded
by the feedback, T-Mobile UK, DE, CZ have good coverage in either 900 or 1800 band, then we can expect they keep building more network, signing roaming agreement with partners
>70% residental coverage is just a matter of time
T-Mobile US has gained a whooping 4M new customers, made about 35% increase compare 2003
company reputation is a major attracting factor, my personal experience can tell which one is bet...

Great... I can receive pictures but can I use for CALLER ID??

Thanks to this forum I now know how to send a picture from my computer to my phone and to use picture as a Wallpaper. I'm wondering however on my Samsung SGH C 225 if I can use some of those pictures and have them pop up as caller ID pics? In other words when someone calls that I have added to my phonebook I would see the picture I assigned to their number instead of the generic screen. Is this possible with this model phone? I see something on MY TMOBILE about caller ID pics but it only states where you can download some, not how to apply it to your phone?

Wisconsin coverage

Does anyone know if T-Mobile is planning on expanding Wisconsin coverage? There are several areas (between Milwaukee and Madison, I43 in southern WI, etc.) that don't have coverage. Cingular has these areas and a lot of upper WI where T-Mobile doesn't. Perhaps a roaming agreement?

Overall Coverage

There are a lot of questions about coverage from a lot of people and customers.
1. The largest coverage in the US is Verizon (but even they have their downsides-most of it is analog backup)
2. The best sound quality is GSM which is TMobile/Cingular/ATTWS
3. GSM is the worldwide technology.
4. CDMA gets better coverage in buildings.
Does this clear a few things up?

Can a T-Mo employee answer an easy question?

I just got my bill for this month, and I went over my minutes for the first time by something like 100, which ended up doubling my bill (I have Smart Access w/Nights).

My question is this (and I hope it really is easy. sorry if it's not): How much extra would I have to pay to get Unlimited Nights & Weekends if I switched over to the Smart Access 1000 plan? In a situation like this, would it have cost me more or less than my overage charges?

I've never gone over my minutes before, so I was surprised how much it added up to be. However, I pay $0.40 per minute for overages, so it's pretty rough. Is it the same rate for Smart Access 1000, or does it vary based on the individual customer?

OK, I guess that was 3 questions 🤭

Tha...

Using own pictures as Wallpaper???

I'm a brand new T-MOBILE customer and i'm wondering if it's possible to send a picture to my phone (Samsung SGH C225) and be able to use it as a wallpaper or even send it somewhere else? Is there a size requirement (pixel size, file size) in order to be able to send?

I know to send an email is (yournumber@tmomail.net) so I assume that's how you would send it?

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance!!!
