Why is Alltel so secretive about their phones?

It's as if they are all sworn to secrecy about each phone they come out with. (It seems like this would hurt their business especially when someone is looking to start a contract) Anyways, are there any phones that have been speculated/expected/confirmed for Q1 of this year. My contract expires within a month and i don't know if i can bring myself to get a V9M. I like it but I don't really care for the color or wideness of the phone. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Yes, if you look here on Phonescoops main page they just listed 3 phones that we have coming out. The LG Scoop, the Samsung Muse u706, the Pearl will be in read, and there is an LG 565 coming out also.

As for Alltel being secretive about the phones coming out, every carrier is that way with phones. Not to mention a lot of times those of us at retail stores and authorized agents are in the same boat as you as to what phones are coming out. For instance, I just learned today about the Pearl coming out in red and the Samsung Muse. I work for Alltel and didn't know until I read the article about them.

Often times companies cannot divulge their plans too early in case it gets delayed or it never develops. It seems crappy on our end, however its saving them a headache from upset customers.
