Alltel Pay Per Month Questions

I was looking at Alltel Pay Per Month plan. Questions are: (1) Do you have to pay the $35.00 activation fee every month? (2) How much is it to add unlimited web? (3) Does the unlimited text include Pic/Vids Msg as well? Thanks Guys....

1) The $35 act. fee is paid only once, at the time of initial activation. Just make sure to replenish within the due dates.

2) No "Unlimited Web" feature for pre-paid.

3) The $69.99/mo plan used to NOT support pic/vid, but now it does.

No prob, dude. Alltel hasn't focused on data use in pre-paid just yet. In time they will, but there are better data alternatives. Regarding overall service, I'd still suggest Alltel. Good luck!

😁 I am a girl LOL... I dont really want to be in a 2 year contract with any phone company right now and I like that Alltel phone, I think it is an LG with external music controls... I had Alltel in the pass and I really didnt like it I think it may have been the phones that I had which were 2 Samsungs...Alltel doesnt have it where you can have the regular plans and not be on contract and jus tpay full price for the phone? I think I have heard a few companies had this or something like it... Thanks

wombough is correct, dudETTE. 🙂 You may be given a hard-ish time when having the phone activated at a retail store, as (correct me if I'm wrong, pls) a no-contract sign up may yield no commission for the sales rep. Not to knock Corporate Reps. If the LG phone you speak of is the 8600, or the Red/Blue/Silver/Green/Gold one, be wary of the hinge strength if you are anything but a gentle user. Though it's not as pretty, give the LG WAVE a look. Same functionality as the 8600, but more durable. The WAVE also avoids the dumb headphone adapter. Good luck!

I would have to agree. The WAVE is a far better phone for overall quality and the sound quality between the phone and a bluetooth headset is far superior to the 8600. Also the WAVE supports up to a 4GB memory card as opposed to the 2GB limit on the 8600. Also you are probably correct in most cases that the sales rep won't make any commission on the sale. However, if you're looking for web usage and unlimited text messaging they'll probably be tickled pink to help you.

Here's the thing though, if you require a deposit on service you'll still have to pay, regardless of whether or not you sign a contract and provide your own equipment. That seems to be a common misconception with customers I talk to.

prepay has the 5.99 a month for web that only uses minutes to use. so if you get one of the monthly plans that has say 2000 night and weekend minutes, you could use web after 9:00 pm and most of weekend for almost like free.
